Front Panel Controls:
- Display: White LED display showing time, source, and track information.
- Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
- Source Button: Selects input source (CD, USB, Bluetooth, FM, AUX).
- Volume Knob: Adjusts the master volume.
- USB Port: For MP3 playback from USB drives.
- AUX In Jack: For connecting external audio devices.
- Playback Controls: Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Forward/Backward.
- Tuning/Preset Buttons: For FM radio tuning and preset navigation.
- NFC Area: For quick Bluetooth pairing.
Setup
1. Unpacking and Placement:
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Place the stereo system on a stable, flat surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
2. Power Connection:
- Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the power adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 230V ~ 50Hz).
- The unit will enter standby mode, and the clock display will illuminate.
3. FM Antenna:
- Extend the FM wire antenna fully for optimal radio reception. Adjust its position if reception is poor.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Operation:
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the unit or remote control.
- Source Selection: Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through CD, USB, Bluetooth, FM, and AUX modes.
- Volume Adjustment: Rotate the VOLUME knob or use the VOL+/- buttons on the remote.
2. CD Playback:
- Press SOURCE to select CD mode.
- Open the CD tray by gently pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button.
- Place a CD (CD, CD-R/RW, or MP3 CD) with the label side facing up into the tray.
- Close the CD tray. The system will read the disc and begin playback automatically.
- Use PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, and SKIP buttons for control.
3. USB Playback:
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port.
- Press SOURCE to select USB mode.
- The system will automatically detect and play MP3 files.
- Use playback controls as with CD mode.
4. Bluetooth Pairing and Playback:
- Press SOURCE to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating pairing mode.
- NFC Pairing (if supported by your device): Touch your NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet to the NFC area on the unit's front panel. Confirm pairing on your device.
- Manual Bluetooth Pairing: On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for "M-880 BTC". Select it to connect. Once connected, "BT" will stop flashing.
- Play audio from your connected device. Control playback via your device or the system's playback buttons.
5. FM Radio:
- Press SOURCE to select FM mode.
- Auto Scan and Store: Press and hold the SCAN button (or similar on remote) to automatically scan and store available stations. The system can store up to 30 presets.
- Manual Tuning: Use the TUNE+/- buttons to manually adjust the frequency.
- Recall Presets: Use the PRESET+/- buttons to navigate through stored stations.
6. AUX Input:
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN jack using the supplied AUX cable.
- Press SOURCE to select AUX mode.
- Play audio from your connected device. Volume can be controlled on both the system and the external device.
7. Clock and Alarm Functions:
- Refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual for setting the clock and configuring alarm functions (wake to Radio, CD, USB, AUX, or Bluetooth).
- The display brightness is dimmable.
8. Sound Adjustments:
- Equalizer: The system features individual sound control with an equalizer. Consult the remote control or unit buttons for EQ presets or manual bass/treble adjustments.
- Loudness Control: Activates a loudness feature for enhanced bass and treble at low volumes.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning:
- Before cleaning, always unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
2. CD Care:
- Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface.
- Store CDs in their cases when not in use to prevent scratches and dust accumulation.
- Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
Troubleshooting
