3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Mounting Options

The MS-RA70NSX offers flexible installation options, including flush or dash mounting. Its sleek design allows for a clean finish in any marine dashboard. The unit can be surface mounted or back mounted for a very clean look, thanks to its design with an edge that goes all the way around the glass.

3.2 Wiring and Connections

The system includes all necessary harnesses for power, speaker zones, and pre-outs for subwoofers and additional zones. All connections are designed with rubber gaskets to ensure water resistance. The unit is 4-ohm stable, allowing connection of up to six speakers easily.

3.3 NMEA 2000 Connectivity

The MS-RA70NSX is NMEA 2000 certified and comes with a NMEA cable. This allows for seamless integration with compatible Multi-Function Displays (MFDs), providing audio control directly from your MFD screen.

4. Operation

4.1 Basic Controls

The MS-RA70NSX features a user-friendly interface with a rotary encoder for volume and menu navigation, along with dedicated buttons for power, source selection, play/pause, and track skipping. The 2.6-inch LCD screen provides clear visibility of current settings and track information.

4.2 Bluetooth Audio Streaming

To stream audio via Bluetooth, ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is enabled and search for the MS-RA70NSX. Select the device to pair. Once paired, you can control playback directly from the stereo or your connected device.

4.3 USB Playback

Connect a USB device containing MP3 audio files to the rear USB port. The system supports Apple iAP2 and Android AOA music protocols. Use the stereo's controls to navigate and play your music.

4.4 Multi-Zone Audio Control

5.2 Water Resistance

The front panel of the MS-RA70NSX is IPX7 water resistant when correctly installed, protecting against immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. The MS-ARX70W remote is IPX6 and IPX7 water resistant. Always ensure proper installation and sealing to maintain these ratings.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Check power connections and ensure the fuse is intact. Verify the boat's battery is charged.
• No Audio: Confirm speaker connections are secure. Check volume levels on both the stereo and connected devices. Ensure the correct audio source is selected.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure the stereo is in pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device. Move closer to the stereo to rule out range issues.
