1. Important Safety Information

Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance and save it for future reference. Incorrect use can lead to electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

3. Setup

Before using your toaster for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the toaster.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  3. First Use (Burn-off): To eliminate any manufacturing odors, operate the toaster without bread for a few cycles at the highest browning setting (8). Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process.
  4. Crumb Tray: Ensure the crumb tray is correctly inserted at the bottom of the toaster.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Toasting Bread

  1. Plug In: Connect the power plug to a grounded wall outlet.
  2. Insert Bread: Place one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots. The self-centering mechanism will hold the bread in place.
  3. Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting (1 for light, 8 for dark). Start with a medium setting (e.g., 3 or 4) and adjust as needed for future use.
  4. Start Toasting: Press the high lift lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.
  5. Stop Toasting: The toast will automatically pop up when the cycle is complete. To stop the cycle prematurely, press the STOP button.
  6. Remove Toast: Use the high lift function to raise the toast higher for easier and safer removal of smaller items.

4.2 Defrosting Frozen Bread

  1. Insert Bread: Place frozen bread slices into the toasting slots.
  2. Select Browning Level: Choose your desired browning level using the dial.
  3. Activate Defrost: Press the high lift lever down, then press the DEFROST button. The indicator light on the defrost button will illuminate.
  4. Completion: The toaster will first defrost the bread and then toast it to the selected browning level. The toast will pop up automatically.

4.3 Reheating Cold Toast

  1. Insert Toast: Place cold, already toasted bread slices into the toasting slots.
  2. Activate Reheat: Press the high lift lever down, then press the REHEAT button. The indicator light on the reheat button will illuminate.
  3. Completion: The toaster will gently warm the toast without further browning. The toast will pop up automatically.

4.4 Using the Integrated Bun Warmer

  1. Raise Warmer: Push the bun warmer lever upwards to raise the integrated bun warmer rack above the toasting slots.
  2. Place Items: Place pastries, croissants, or rolls on the bun warmer rack.
  3. Select Setting: Set the browning control dial to a low setting (e.g., 1 or 2).
  4. Start Warming: Press the high lift lever down. The heating elements will activate to warm the items.
  5. Monitor: Monitor the warming process closely to prevent burning. Press the STOP button when items are sufficiently warm.
  6. Lower Warmer: After use, push the bun warmer lever downwards to retract the rack.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
  3. Empty Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Ensure it is dry before reinserting.
  4. Clean Interior: Never insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean them. If food gets stuck, unplug the toaster and carefully turn it upside down to shake out the debris.
  5. Storage: When not in use, store the toaster in a clean, dry place.
