5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Device
The MixPre-6 II can be powered via AA batteries, L-mount batteries (with optional sled), or USB-C power.
- AA Batteries: Insert 8 AA batteries into the included battery sled and attach it to the bottom of the MixPre-6 II.
- USB-C Power: Connect a compatible USB-C power supply to the USB-C port on the left side panel.
5.2 Inserting an SD Card
The MixPre-6 II records audio to an SD card. Locate the SD card slot (typically on the side or bottom, refer to device diagrams) and insert a compatible SD, SDHC, or SDXC card with sufficient speed and capacity. Ensure the card is formatted by the MixPre-6 II before first use.
