4. System Requirements
Before installation, ensure your computer meets the following requirements:
- An available USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port.
- Operating System: Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7 / XP (32-bit or 64-bit), MAC OS 10.9-10.14, or Linux.
- A dual-band wireless router is recommended to achieve full AC1300Mbps speed.
5. Setup and Driver Installation
Follow these steps to install your COMFAST USB WiFi Adapter:
- Do NOT plug in the adapter yet.
- Install the Driver:
- Using the CD Driver: Insert the included driver CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.
- Downloading the Driver: If your computer does not have a CD-ROM drive or if you encounter issues with the CD, download the latest driver from the official COMFAST website. The driver can typically be found at http://uee.me/cA4B4. Download the appropriate driver for your operating system and run the installer.
- Plug in the Adapter: Once the driver installation is complete, insert the COMFAST USB WiFi Adapter into an available USB 3.0 port on your computer. The adapter will be automatically detected.
- Connect to a Wireless Network:
- On Windows, click the network icon in the system tray, select your desired WiFi network (either 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz), and enter the password.
- On Mac or Linux, use the respective network settings to connect to your WiFi network.
