Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Clean Interior: The large opening design allows for easy cleaning of the interior. Rinse the inside of the kettle with water.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
- Fill the kettle with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar or lemon juice and 2 parts water.
- Boil the mixture, then let it sit for 20-30 minutes.
- Discard the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- For stubborn deposits, gently scrub the interior with a soft sponge.
- Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the kettle body or the power base in water or any other liquid.
