2. Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using this appliance to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

• Electrical Safety: Ensure the range is properly grounded. Do not use extension cords. Disconnect power before servicing. The appliance operates on 2.4E+2 Volts (AC).
• Burn Hazard: Hot surfaces can cause burns. Do not touch heating elements or interior surfaces of the oven.
• Fire Hazard: Never leave the range unattended during cooking. Keep flammable materials away from the appliance. Do not use water on grease fires; smother the fire or use a dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher.

3. Installation and Setup

3.1 Unpacking

• Carefully remove all packaging materials, tape, and protective film from the range.

3.2 Electrical Connection

The range requires a dedicated electrical circuit. Ensure the electrical supply matches the appliance's voltage requirements (2.4E+2 Volts AC). A proper grounding connection is essential to prevent electric shock. Do not use adapters or extension cords.

3.3 Anti-Tip Bracket Installation

An anti-tip bracket must be installed to prevent the range from tipping forward when weight is applied to the open oven door. Follow the instructions provided with the anti-tip bracket kit for proper installation.

3.4 Leveling the Range

Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the range to ensure it is stable and level. This prevents spills and ensures even cooking.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Mabe electric range features a user-friendly control panel for managing both the cooktop and oven functions.

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel includes tactile type controls and a digital temperature display. Refer to the markings on the panel for specific functions such as oven temperature, cooking modes, and timer settings.

4.2 Using the Radiant Cooktop Burners

The range is equipped with 5 radiant type burners. Each burner is controlled by a dedicated knob on the control panel. Turn the knob to the desired heat setting (e.g., Low, Medium, High). The burner will glow red when active.

• Use flat-bottomed cookware that matches the size of the burner for optimal heat transfer.
• Do not use cookware that is significantly larger or smaller than the burner.
• Avoid placing plastic or aluminum foil on the hot cooktop.

4.3 Operating the Oven

The 141.5-liter oven features True Convection Air for even baking and roasting. Use the oven control knob and digital display to set the desired temperature and cooking mode.

1. Preheating: Select the desired cooking mode (e.g., Bake, Convection Bake) and temperature. The oven will begin to preheat, and the digital display will show the current temperature.
2. Cooking: Once the oven reaches the set temperature, place your food inside. Monitor cooking progress through the oven window.
3. Oven Light: Use the oven light button to illuminate the oven interior.

4.4 Self-Clean Cycle

The self-clean feature uses high temperatures to burn off food spills, turning them into a fine ash that can be easily wiped away. Before starting a self-clean cycle:

• Remove all oven racks and accessories.
• Wipe up any loose debris.
• Ensure the kitchen is well-ventilated during the cycle.

Follow the specific instructions on your control panel to initiate and complete the self-clean cycle. The oven door will lock during the cycle and unlock once it has cooled down.

5.1 Cooktop Cleaning

Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. For stainless steel surfaces, use a stainless steel cleaner and polish in the direction of the grain. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the control panel.
