Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your FENIFOX Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the surfaces of the keyboard and mouse. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the internal components. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when performance degrades or the low voltage indicator lights up consistently. Always use fresh batteries of the specified type (AA for keyboard, AAA for mouse).
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, turn off the power switches on both devices and consider removing the batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- Device Not Responding:
- Check if the power switches on both the keyboard and mouse are turned ON.
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Verify the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port.
- Perform the pairing/repairing steps outlined in the "Setup Guide" section.
- Interference or Lag:
- Wireless performance can be affected by interference from other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other 2.4Ghz devices), metal objects, or USB 3.0/3.1 ports.
- Try moving the USB receiver closer to the keyboard and mouse.
- Ensure there are no large metal objects between the devices and the receiver.
- If using a USB 3.0/3.1 port, try connecting the receiver to a USB 2.0 port instead, or use a USB extension cable to move the receiver away from the port.
- Keys Not Registering Correctly (Mac Users):
- After connecting, go to System Preferences > Keyboard.
- Click "Change Keyboard Type...".
- Follow the on-screen prompts, which may ask you to press a key next to the Shift key. Press the indicated key (e.g., Page Down key) 2-3 times.
- A pop-up will appear stating the keyboard is not recognized and ask you to select a type. Choose the standard English American keyboard option.
