Installation Steps

Follow these general steps for installation. Refer to the detailed instructions included in your package for specific diagrams and precise measurements.

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure the door has standard bore holes and the correct backset. If necessary, use the provided template to mark and drill new holes.
  2. Install the Latches: Insert the deadbolt latch and the lever latch into the door edge. Secure them with screws. Ensure the "UP" arrow on the latch is facing upwards.

Basic Operation

  • Unlocking with a Code: Enter your 4-8 digit user code on the keypad, then press the "Unlock" button (padlock icon). The deadbolt will retract.
  • One-Touch Locking: To lock the door from the outside, simply press the "Lock" button (closed padlock icon) on the keypad. The deadbolt will extend.
  • Auto-Locking Feature: If enabled, the deadbolt will automatically extend and lock the door approximately 30 seconds after it has been unlocked. This feature can be programmed on or off.
  • Manual Override: In case of battery failure or forgotten codes, the lock can be operated manually using the provided physical keys.

Programming User Codes

The lock supports up to 50 programmable user codes. Refer to the detailed programming instructions included with your product for specific steps to add, delete, or modify user codes. Generally, programming involves entering a master code followed by specific commands and the new user code.

  • Master Code: A master code is required to program other user codes. This code should be set immediately after installation and kept confidential.
  • Adding a User Code: Typically involves entering the master code, a programming command, and then the new 4-8 digit user code.
  • Deleting a User Code: Involves entering the master code, a deletion command, and the specific user code to be removed.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The lock features a battery indicator. Replace all four AA batteries when the indicator signals low power. Use only new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
  • Cleaning: Clean the keypad and lock surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
