1. Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective operation of your Walfront Digital Thermo Hygrometer. This portable device is designed to accurately measure environmental temperature, relative humidity, dew point temperature, and wet bulb temperature. 2. Safety Information
Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the device to ensure safe and proper use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the device.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.

3. Product Overview
3.1 Components

- Sensor Cover: Protects the high-precision digital sensor.
- LCD Display: Shows temperature, humidity, and other readings.
- Power Switch Key (Red Button): Turns the device on and off.
- DP/WB ℃/℉ Button (Orange Button, Left): Cycles through Dew Point, Wet Bulb, and switches between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- MAX/MIN Button (Orange Button, Top Right): Displays maximum and minimum recorded values.
- HOLD / Backlight Button (Orange Button, Bottom Right): Activates data hold function and turns the backlight on/off.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The device requires batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover downwards or lift the latch to open the compartment.
- Insert the required batteries (typically 9V, not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To turn on the device, press the red Power Switch Key.
- To turn off the device, press and hold the red Power Switch Key for a few seconds until the display turns off. The device also features an auto power-off function to save battery.
5.2 Measurement Modes
Upon powering on, the device will typically display environmental temperature and relative humidity. To cycle through other measurement modes:
- Press the DP/WB ℃/℉ button to switch between displaying Dew Point Temperature and Wet Bulb Temperature.
5.3 Unit Switching (℃/℉)
To switch the temperature unit between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉):
- Press and hold the DP/WB ℃/℉ button for approximately 2 seconds. The unit on the display will change.
5.4 Data Hold Function
To freeze the current readings on the display:
- Press the HOLD button. The "HOLD" indicator will appear on the LCD.
- Press the HOLD button again to release the data hold and resume live readings.
5.5 Maximum/Minimum Readings
To view the maximum or minimum recorded values since the device was last reset or powered on:
- Press the MAX/MIN button once to display the maximum values.
- Press the MAX/MIN button again to display the minimum values.
- Press the MAX/MIN button a third time to return to live readings.
5.6 Backlight Operation
The LCD display features a backlight for improved visibility in low-light conditions:
- Press and hold the HOLD button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the backlight on or off.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To maintain the accuracy and longevity of your device:
- Wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no liquid enters the sensor area or other openings.
6.2 Sensor Care
The sensor is a delicate component. Handle it with care:
- Keep the sensor cover in place when not in use to protect the sensor from dust and physical damage.
- If necessary, gently remove the metal probe cover for inspection or light cleaning of the sensor area, as shown in Figure 6.1. Avoid touching the sensor directly.

6.3 Storage
When storing the device for extended periods:
- Remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Keep it in its protective casing or original packaging if available.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Digital Thermo Hygrometer, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:
