5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Power-Up and Master Card Registration

  1. Apply 12V/DC power to the system. The status indicator will light up.
  2. The system is initially in a default state. To begin programming, swipe the Master Add Card over the RFID reader. The system will enter programming mode.
  3. Swipe the Master Delete Card over the RFID reader. This registers both master cards with the system.

5.2 Adding Users (Fingerprint or RFID Card)

  1. Swipe the Master Add Card over the RFID reader to enter programming mode.
  2. To add a fingerprint: Place the user's finger on the fingerprint scanner. The system will prompt for multiple scans (typically 3 times) to ensure accurate registration. Wait for confirmation.
  3. To add an RFID card: Place the user's RFID card on the RFID reader. Wait for confirmation.
  4. To exit programming mode, swipe the Master Add Card again or wait for the system to time out.

5.3 Deleting Users

  1. Swipe the Master Delete Card over the RFID reader to enter programming mode.
  2. To delete a specific fingerprint: Place the registered finger on the scanner. The system will confirm deletion.
  3. To delete a specific RFID card: Place the registered RFID card on the reader. The system will confirm deletion.
  4. To delete all users: Consult the detailed programming guide for a factory reset procedure, which typically involves a specific sequence using the remote control or master cards.
  5. To exit programming mode, swipe the Master Delete Card again or wait for the system to time out.

5.4 Accessing the System

  • Using Fingerprint: Place a registered finger firmly on the fingerprint scanner. If recognized, the lock will disengage for a set period.
  • Using RFID Card: Present a registered RFID card to the RFID reader. If recognized, the lock will disengage for a set period.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the fingerprint scanner and the unit's surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for signs of wear or damage. Ensure the unit is securely mounted.
  • Software Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Sygonix access system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
