Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Original Sky Q Voice Remote Control. This remote is designed to enhance your Sky Q viewing experience with intuitive controls and advanced voice search capabilities. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new remote.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

Your Sky Q Voice Remote Control requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included. Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote.
2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
3. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the indicators inside the compartment.
4. Slide the cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Pairing Your Remote

To use the voice control and full functionality, you need to pair your remote with your Sky Q box. There are two primary methods:

Method A: Automatic Pairing

Most Sky Q remotes will automatically pair when batteries are inserted and the remote is pointed at the Sky Q box. If this does not happen, proceed to Method B.

Method B: Manual Pairing

1. Point the remote at your Sky Q box.
2. Press and hold the 1 and 3 buttons together for a few seconds until the LED light on the remote flashes.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions on your TV to complete the pairing process.

Operating Your Remote

The Sky Q Voice Remote Control features a range of buttons for easy navigation and control of your Sky Q system.

Key Button Functions

• Power Button (⏻): Turns your Sky Q box and connected TV on or off.
• Home Button (⌂): Takes you to the Sky Q Home screen.
• Voice Button (🎤): Press and hold to activate voice search and commands.
• Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, Select): Used to navigate menus and select options.
• Volume Buttons (🔊): Adjusts the volume of your TV.
• Channel Up/Down (∧/∨): Changes channels.
• Fast Forward (≫), Rewind (≪), Play/Pause (▶‖): Control playback of content.
• Record Button (Ⓡ): Records the current program.
• Info Button (ⓘ): Displays information about the current program.
• Search Button (🔍): Opens the search menu.
• Back Button (↩): Returns to the previous screen.
• Dismiss Button (…): Closes on-screen messages or menus.

Voice Search Function

The voice search feature allows you to quickly find content, change channels, or control your Sky Q box using spoken commands. To use:

1. Press and hold the Voice Button (🎤).
2. Speak clearly into the microphone at the top of the remote.
3. Release the button when you have finished speaking.
