3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Battery Charging

Before first use, fully charge the 12V 1300mAh Li-ion battery. Connect the included wall charger to the battery and plug it into a standard electrical outlet. The battery typically charges in 3 to 5 hours.

3.2 Attaching the Battery

Align the battery with the base of the drill handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. To remove, press the battery release button (if present) and slide the battery out.

3.3 Inserting Drill/Screwdriver Bits

  1. Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to open the jaws.
  2. Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck, ensuring it is seated firmly.
  3. Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and cannot be pulled out easily.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Variable Speed Trigger

The drill features a variable speed trigger. Press the trigger gently for lower speeds (up to 350 RPM) for precision screwdriving or starting holes. Press the trigger further for higher speeds (up to 1350 RPM) for rapid drilling.

4.2 Direction Switch (Forward/Reverse)

A switch located above the trigger controls the rotation direction. Push it to the left for forward (clockwise) rotation for drilling and driving screws. Push it to the right for reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation for removing screws or backing out bits.

4.3 Torque Settings

The drill features 18 torque settings, allowing you to adjust the amount of rotational force applied. Lower settings are ideal for driving small screws into soft materials to prevent overtightening or stripping. Higher settings provide more power for larger screws or drilling. The maximum torque is 15 Newton Meters (Nm).

4.4 LED Work Light

A built-in LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dimly lit spaces.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the drill and its accessories. Use a dry cloth to wipe away dust and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep the ventilation openings clear to prevent overheating.

5.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery before recharging. Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
