1. Product Overview

The Hitachi BD-SG100EL is a drum-type washer dryer designed for efficient and convenient laundry care. It features a 10kg washing capacity and a 6kg wash-dry capacity, incorporating advanced technologies for superior cleaning and drying performance.

• Wind Iron: Utilizes high-speed air, approximately 300 km/h, to reduce wrinkles during the drying cycle, minimizing the need for ironing.
• Automatic Cleaning: The washing tub is automatically cleaned with fresh tap water after each rinse cycle, preventing mold and bacteria buildup in unseen areas.
• Sensor Big Drum Washing: This system detects the type and amount of laundry, adjusting drum rotation speed and water volume to maximize washing power and effectively remove dirt.
• Heat Recycle Drying: Reuses heat generated during operation for efficient drying, contributing to energy savings.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Unpacking and Component Check

Before installation, ensure all components are present:

• Main unit
• One-touch faucet adapter
• Water supply hose (approx. 0.8m)
• Drain hose connection set
• Drain trap cover
• Leg caps (for height adjustment)
• Cover
• Transport bolt removal spanner
• Transport bolts (pre-installed)
• Level gauge

2.2 Placement Requirements

Proper placement is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Consider the following:

• Dimensions: The external dimensions are approximately 630mm (width) x 715mm (depth) x 1050mm (height), including hoses and attachments. The main unit width is 600mm.
• Waterproof Pan: The unit fits into a waterproof pan with an inner depth of 540mm or more.
• Clearances: Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation and door opening. Refer to the diagram below for specific clearance requirements.

2.3 Connecting Hoses

Connect the water supply and drain hoses securely. The drain hose length is 88cm for left outlet and 58cm for right outlet.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Washing Cycle

1. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the machine.
2. Load Laundry: Open the drum door and load your clothes. Do not overload the machine.
3. Add Detergent/Softener: Open the detergent dispenser and add the appropriate amount of detergent and fabric softener. The dispenser supports both powder and liquid detergents, as well as bleach.
4. Select Course: Choose your desired washing course (e.g., Normal, Eco, Cotton, Wool, Quick).
5. Start: Press the Start button to begin the cycle.
