5. Setup

5.1 Connecting the Speakers

  1. Locate the speaker terminals on the back of the main unit and on each speaker.
  2. Connect the red wire from the right speaker to the red (+) terminal on the main unit and the right speaker.
  3. Connect the black wire from the right speaker to the black (-) terminal on the main unit and the right speaker.
  4. Repeat the process for the left speaker. Ensure correct polarity for optimal sound quality.

5.2 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the unit is switched off.
  2. Plug the power cord into a standard wall outlet (230V, 50Hz).

5.3 Antenna Connection

For optimal DAB+ and FM radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Operation

6.2 Turntable Operation (PHONO)

  1. Lift the dust cover.
  2. Place a record on the turntable platter.
  3. Select the appropriate speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector switch. Use the 45 RPM adapter for singles.
  4. Release the tone arm lock.
  5. Gently lift the tone arm and position the stylus over the desired track on the record.
  6. Lower the tone arm slowly onto the record. Playback will begin.
  7. At the end of the record, the tone arm will automatically return to its rest position (if auto-stop is enabled).

6.3 CD Player Operation

  1. Press the MODE button to select CD mode.
  2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
  3. Place a CD (label side up) into the tray.
  4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The unit will read the disc.
  5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback.
  6. Use the SKIP buttons to navigate between tracks.

6.4 Cassette Deck Operation (TAPE)

  1. Press the MODE button to select TAPE mode.
  2. Press the EJECT button on the cassette deck to open the cassette compartment.
  3. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards.
  4. Close the cassette compartment.
  5. Press the PLAY button to start playback.
  6. Use the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons to navigate the tape.
  7. Press the STOP button to end playback.

6.5 DAB+/FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the MODE button to select FM/DAB mode.
  2. For DAB+ radio, the unit will automatically scan for available stations on first use. For manual tuning, use the TUNING knob.
  3. For FM radio, use the TUNING knob to manually tune to a station.
  4. Press the MENU/INFO button to view station information (DAB+).

6.6 Bluetooth Operation (BT)

  1. Press the MODE button to select BT mode. The display will show "BT" and the unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Search for "auna Oakland" in your device's Bluetooth list and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, you can play music from your device through the stereo system.

6.7 USB/SD Playback and MP3 Recording

  1. Playback: Insert a USB drive or SD card into the respective slot. Press the MODE button to select USB or SD mode. The unit will automatically begin playing compatible audio files.
  2. MP3 Recording: You can record audio from the turntable, CD player, or cassette deck directly to a USB drive or SD card.
  3. Select the desired source (PHONO, CD, or TAPE).
  4. Insert a USB drive or SD card.
  5. Start playback on the source (e.g., play a record).
  6. Press the REC button on the unit. The recording will begin.
  7. Press the REC button again to stop recording. The recorded MP3 files will be saved to the USB drive or SD card.

Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack using the provided 3.5mm audio cable. Select AUX mode to play audio from the connected device.
