2. Safety Information

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The PL-9266 can be powered by the included rechargeable Lithium-ion battery or two standard AAA batteries.

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
  2. Insert the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the light head, or insert two AAA batteries with correct polarity.
  3. Securely screw the tail cap back on. Ensure the O-ring is properly seated to maintain water resistance.

5.2 Charging the Rechargeable Battery

To charge the included Lithium-ion battery:

  1. Locate the USB charging port on the flashlight body. It is typically covered by a rubber seal.
  2. Gently slide down the cover to reveal the Micro USB port.
  3. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the flashlight's Micro USB port and the other end to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  4. The indicator light will show red during charging and turn blue when fully charged.
  5. Charging typically takes approximately 3 hours.
  6. Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable and ensure the rubber seal is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button located on the tail cap to turn the flashlight on or off.

6.2 Light Modes

The flashlight features 3 light modes: High, Low, and Flash (Strobe).

  1. With the flashlight on, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the modes: High → Low → Flash → Off.
  2. The flashlight has a memory function that restores the previous state if turned off for 8-15 seconds.

6.3 Zoom Function

The flashlight features a 4x zoom capability to adjust the beam from wide to narrow.

  1. To adjust the beam, gently slide the head of the flashlight forward or backward.
  2. Sliding forward narrows the beam for long-distance focus (zoom in).
  3. Sliding backward widens the beam for a broader area illumination (zoom out).

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • O-rings: Periodically inspect the O-rings for wear and tear. Lubricate them with silicone grease if necessary to maintain water resistance.
  • Storage: Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Charging Port: Keep the USB charging port clean and free of debris. Ensure the rubber cover is always sealed when not charging.
