Introduction
The Good-Lite Flip-Up Occluder Glasses Fun Frames are designed for pediatric patients requiring vision therapy. These glasses feature expansive circular lenses and a flip-up mechanism for simple occlusion. Constructed from durable TPE (thermoplastic elastomers), they are flexible, virtually indestructible, and latex-free. The attached rubber 'feet' are designed to prevent slipping, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.
Setup
The Flip-Up Occluder Glasses are ready for use directly out of the packaging. No assembly is required. Ensure the glasses fit comfortably on the user's face, with the ear temples resting securely behind the ears.

The flexible frame material allows for minor adjustments to ensure a snug fit without causing discomfort. The rubber 'feet' on the temple tips are designed to enhance stability and prevent the glasses from sliding down.
Operating Instructions
These glasses are designed for easy occlusion of either eye as needed for vision therapy.
- To Occlude an Eye: Gently push the desired lens frame upwards until it clicks into its flipped-up position. This action covers the eye, providing occlusion.
- To Unocclude an Eye: Gently pull the flipped-up lens frame downwards until it clicks back into its original position, revealing the eye.

The flip-up mechanism is designed for durability and ease of use, allowing for quick transitions between occluded and unoccluded states.
Maintenance and Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the clarity of your Flip-Up Occluder Glasses.
- Cleaning: Clean the glasses with a damp cloth and mild soap. Gently wipe the lenses and frame.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or alcohol-based cleaners, as these can damage the lens coating or frame material.
- Storage: Store the glasses in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, which could affect the material's integrity.
- Handling: While the glasses are designed to be robust, avoid excessive force when flipping the occluders or bending the frame to prevent potential damage.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Flip-Up Occluder Glasses, consider the following:
- Glasses slipping: Ensure the glasses are properly positioned on the nose bridge and that the temple tips with rubber 'feet' are securely behind the ears. The flexible frame can be gently adjusted for a better fit.
- Occluder not flipping smoothly: Check for any debris or obstruction in the hinge mechanism. Clean gently with a damp cloth. Avoid forcing the mechanism.
- Lenses appear cloudy or scratched: Refer to the cleaning instructions in the Maintenance section. If scratches are significant and affect vision, replacement may be necessary.
