1. Introduction

The Billboard Flame Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Model BB1780) is designed to provide high-quality portable audio combined with an integrated ambient flame effect. This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, setup, and maintenance of your speaker.

2. Important Safety Information

• Read all instructions thoroughly before using the device.
• Keep the speaker away from direct heat sources, open flames, and extreme temperatures.
• Although the speaker is waterproof, do not submerge it for extended periods. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when exposed to water.

Controls and Indicators:

• + Button: Press to increase volume. Press and hold for next track.
• ⏸ Button (Power/Play/Pause): Press and hold to power on/off. Press to play or pause audio.
• - Button: Press to decrease volume. Press and hold for previous track.
• ★ Button (Mode): Press to switch between Bluetooth mode and other available modes (if applicable).
• ☀︎ Button (Flame Effect): Press to turn the flame effect on or off.
• USB-A Port: For connecting USB devices (e.g., for charging other devices, if supported, or playing audio from USB drive).
• Micro-USB Charging Port: For charging the speaker's internal battery.
• LED Indicator: Displays charging status and Bluetooth pairing status.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Speaker

1. Locate the Micro-USB charging port on the rear of the speaker (refer to Figure 4.2).
2. Connect the smaller end of the provided USB charging cable to the speaker's Micro-USB port.
3. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
4. The LED indicator will illuminate to show charging status. It will typically turn off or change color once fully charged.
5. A full charge may take several hours. Ensure the speaker is fully charged before first use for optimal battery life.

5.2 Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the Power/Play/Pause (⏸) button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt or see the LED indicator light up.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Play/Pause (⏸) button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the LED indicator turns off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and within close proximity (within 10 meters) of your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode upon power-on if no device is connected. The LED indicator will flash rapidly, indicating it is ready to pair.
3. On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
4. Search for available devices. You should see "Billboard Flame" or "BB1780" appear in the list.
5. Select "Billboard Flame" or "BB1780" to connect. Once successfully paired, the speaker will emit an audible confirmation, and the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
6. If prompted for a password, enter "0000".
7. The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device is within range and Bluetooth is enabled.

6.2 Audio Playback

• Play/Pause: Press the Power/Play/Pause (⏸) button to play or pause audio.
• Volume Control: Press the '+' button to increase volume. Press the '-' button to decrease volume.
• Next Track: Press and hold the '+' button to skip to the next track.
• Previous Track: Press and hold the '-' button to go to the previous track.

6.3 Flame Effect Operation

The speaker features an integrated LED flame effect for ambient lighting.

• To Turn On/Off Flame Effect: Press the Flame Effect (☀︎) button to toggle the flame effect on or off.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the speaker with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
• Water Resistance: While waterproof, always ensure the rubber flap covering the charging port is securely closed to maintain water resistance, especially when near water.
• Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
• Battery Care: To preserve battery life, fully charge the speaker at least once every three months if not used regularly.
