Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control (refer to Figure 2).
2. Slide down the battery cover to open the compartment.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

The remote control does not require any programming and should be ready for use immediately after battery installation, provided it is compatible with your AC unit.

Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver on your Haier air conditioner unit. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the AC unit.

Key Functions (Refer to Figure 1 for button layout):

• ON/OFF: Press to turn the air conditioner on or off.
• TEMP ▲/▼: Adjusts the temperature setting up or down.
• MODE: Cycles through operating modes such as Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto.
• SET: Used for confirming settings, often in conjunction with Timer or Clock functions.
• TIMER: Sets the timer for automatic on/off operations.
• CLOCK: Sets the current time on the remote's display.
• SLEEP: Activates or deactivates the sleep mode, which adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep and energy saving.
• HEALTH: Activates specific health-related functions (e.g., air purification, ionizer), if available on your AC model.
• SWING: Controls the vertical swing of the air deflector.
• FIN: Controls the horizontal swing of the air deflector (if applicable).
• LOCK: Locks the remote control buttons to prevent accidental changes. Press again to unlock.
• RESET: Resets the remote control to its default settings. Use a pointed object (like a paperclip) to press this recessed button.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's display becomes dim or the remote stops responding. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

2. Cleaning

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

3. Storage

If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the remote.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if batteries are inserted correctly with correct polarity.
  • Replace old batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the AC unit's receiver.
  • Verify that the remote is pointed directly at the AC unit.
• Some functions not working:
