Setup

Battery Installation

1. Remove Base Cap: Locate the rubberized base cap on the bottom of the lantern. Rotate it counter-clockwise and pull it off to access the battery compartment.
2. Insert Batteries: Insert four (4) D-size batteries (not included). Ensure the positive (+) and negative (-) ends are aligned correctly as indicated inside the compartment.
3. Replace Base Cap: Align the guide posts on the base cap with the corresponding slots on the battery compartment. Slide the posts into the slots, then twist the base cap clockwise while pushing down to lock it securely into place.

Initial Check

After battery installation, press the power button once to ensure the lantern illuminates. If it does not, recheck battery polarity and ensure the base cap is securely fastened.

Operating Instructions

Power Button Functions

The Internova 1500 Lantern features a single power button for all operations:

• Turn On: Press the power button once. The lantern will turn on in Low mode.
• Cycle Modes: While the lantern is on, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the available lighting modes: Low → Medium → High → Maximum → Red → Flashing Red.
• Turn Off (Method 1): After cycling through all modes (Flashing Red), press the power button one more time to turn the lantern off.
• Turn Off (Method 2 - Quick Off): At any brightness setting, press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the lantern off directly.

Hanging and Placement

• Use the sturdy retractable handle for carrying or hanging the lantern from branches, tent loops, or other suitable fixtures.
• A built-in S-hook on the base allows for inverted hanging, ideal for directing light downwards, such as when working under a car hood or hanging from a tent ceiling.

• Cleaning: Wipe the lantern with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
