2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed space.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Never operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and properly grounded. Do not touch the generator with wet hands.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in approved containers.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts to prevent injury.
- Grounding: Always properly ground the generator before operation to prevent electrical shock.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Read Manual: Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before operating the generator.

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the generator from its packaging.
- Inspect for any shipping damage. Contact your dealer immediately if damage is found.
- Remove all packing materials and ensure all accessories are present.
4.2 Placement
- Place the generator on a firm, level surface.
- Ensure adequate clearance around the generator for proper ventilation and cooling. Maintain at least 3-5 feet (1-1.5 meters) from buildings or other equipment.
- Operate only outdoors in a well-ventilated area.
4.3 Adding Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the correct type and amount of oil before first use.
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface and the engine is off and cool.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Add the recommended engine oil (e.g., SAE 10W-30) to the crankcase until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick securely.
4.4 Adding Fuel
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.
- Ensure the generator is off and cool.
- Locate the fuel tank cap.
- Slowly remove the fuel tank cap.
- Fill the fuel tank, leaving a small air gap (approximately 1 inch or 2.5 cm) from the top to allow for fuel expansion. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the fuel tank cap.
- Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pre-Start Checks
- Check engine oil level.
- Check fuel level.
- Ensure all electrical loads are disconnected from the generator outlets.
- Verify the generator is properly grounded.
5.2 Starting the Engine
Your Senci SC-8000 generator may feature both recoil (manual) and electric start options.
Manual (Recoil) Start:
- Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (if the engine is cold).
- Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
- Grasp the recoil starter handle firmly and pull slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
Electric Start (if equipped):
- Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (if the engine is cold).
- Turn the engine switch to the "START" position and hold for a few seconds until the engine starts. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds at a time.
- Once the engine starts, release the switch to the "ON" position and slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
5.3 Connecting Electrical Loads
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes to warm up before connecting any loads.
- Plug in your appliances or extension cords into the appropriate outlets on the control panel.
- Do not overload the generator. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's rated output.
- Use heavy-duty, outdoor-rated extension cords.
5.4 Stopping the Engine
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
