5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Gently twist the back cover of the light counter-clockwise to remove it.
2. Insert 3 x AA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
3. Replace the back cover by aligning it and twisting clockwise until secure.

5.2 Mounting the Light

The LEDVANCE NIGHTLUX Ceiling Light offers flexible mounting options:

• Adhesive Strips: For smooth, clean surfaces, peel the backing from the included adhesive strips and firmly press the light onto the desired location. Ensure the surface is dry and free of dust or grease for optimal adhesion.
• Screws: For a more permanent installation, use the provided screws. The back cover has pre-drilled holes. Mark the desired mounting position, drill pilot holes if necessary, and secure the back cover to the surface. Then, attach the light body to the secured back cover.

Choose a mounting location that allows for optimal motion detection and is free from obstructions. Avoid placing the light where direct sunlight or other strong light sources might interfere with the day/night sensor.

6. Operating Instructions

The LEDVANCE NIGHTLUX Ceiling Light operates automatically based on its integrated sensors.

• Day/Night Sensor: The light will only activate when the ambient light level is low (e.g., at dusk or in a dark room). It will not turn on during daylight hours, even if motion is detected, to conserve battery power.
• Motion Sensor: Once the day/night sensor detects low light, the motion sensor becomes active. When motion is detected within its range, the light will turn on.
• Automatic Shut-off: The light will remain on for a set duration after motion is detected. If no further motion is detected within this period, the light will automatically turn off. The exact duration is pre-set and cannot be adjusted by the user.

For optimal performance, ensure the motion sensor is not obstructed and is positioned to cover the desired detection area.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement
