Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps for easy assembly. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.

Step 1: Attach Casters to Base

1. Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the chair base.
2. Push firmly until each caster clicks securely into place.

Step 2: Install Gas Lift and Cover

1. Place the gas lift cover over the top of the gas lift cylinder.
2. Insert the narrow end of the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled base.

Step 3: Attach Armrests to Seat

1. Align the armrests with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion.
2. Secure each armrest using the provided screws and washers. Do not overtighten.

Step 4: Attach Backrest to Seat and Armrests

1. Align the backrest with the rear attachment points on the seat and the armrests.
2. Secure with the remaining screws and washers. Ensure all connections are firm.

Step 5: Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift

1. Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the center mechanism aligns with the top of the cylinder.
2. Press down firmly to secure the connection.

Operating Instructions

The Amazon Basics Executive Desk Chair offers several adjustable features for personalized comfort.

Height Adjustment

• To raise the seat: While standing, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will rise automatically. Release the lever at the desired height.
• To lower the seat: While seated, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will lower. Release the lever at the desired height.

Tilt Mechanism

• To unlock the tilt: Pull the same lever (used for height adjustment) outwards from the chair. The backrest will now recline.
• To lock the tilt: Push the lever inwards towards the chair. The backrest will lock in its upright position.

Tilt Tension Adjustment

• To adjust the tension of the tilt mechanism, turn the round knob located under the front-center of the seat.
• Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) or counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).

Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and appearance of your executive chair.

• Cleaning: Spot clean the LeatherSoft polyurethane upholstery with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary.
• Casters: Keep casters free of debris to ensure smooth rolling.
• Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the upholstery to fade or crack.
