4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum cleaner.

4.1 Emptying the Dust Bin

Empty the dust bin after each cleaning cycle or when full. Press the release button to remove the dust bin, open it, and discard the collected debris. Close the bin securely and reinsert it into the robot.

4.2 Cleaning the Brushes

  • Turbo Brush: Periodically remove the main Turbo brush from the robot. Use the cleaning tool (if included) or scissors to cut and remove any tangled hair or fibers.
  • Side Brushes: Check the side brushes for wear or entanglement. Remove any debris and replace worn brushes as needed.

4.3 Cleaning the Filters

The robot uses a foam filter. Remove the filter from the dust bin and tap it gently to remove dust. For thorough cleaning, the foam filter can be rinsed under running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting it into the dust bin.

4.4 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the anti-fall sensors, infrared sensors, and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging base with a clean, dry cloth. This prevents dust buildup from affecting navigation and charging.

4.5 Mop Pad Maintenance

After each mopping session, remove the microfiber mop pad and wash it. Allow it to air dry completely before reuse or storage.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Rowenta X-Plorer Serie 20, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging base is plugged in and the robot's charging contacts are properly aligned with the base. Clean the charging contacts if they appear dirty.
  • Robot not moving or stuck: Check for any obstacles or tangled wires around the brushes and wheels. Clean the sensors to ensure proper navigation.
  • Reduced suction power: Empty the dust bin and clean the filters. Ensure the main brush is free of debris.
  • Overheating: If the device feels hot, stop operation immediately and allow it to cool down for at least 1 hour before resuming use. Ensure air vents are not blocked.
  • Unusual noise: Check the main brush and side brushes for any foreign objects or tangled hair. Ensure all components are correctly installed.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
