Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the DT-6650 and all accessories from the packaging. Verify all components listed in the packing accessories section are present.
- Powering On: Connect the power adapter to the device and a suitable power outlet. Alternatively, ensure the internal battery is charged.
- Connecting Test Leads: Insert the red and black test leads into the appropriate input terminals as indicated on the device. For specific tests, additional leads (e.g., green for earth resistance) may be required. Ensure connections are secure.
- Initial Check: Turn on the device using the POWER/ESC button. The 3.5-inch TFT color LCD display should illuminate.
Operating Instructions
The DT-6650 offers a variety of testing functions. Select the desired function using the rotary dial and navigate menus with the navigation buttons.
Voltage Measurement
To measure voltage, select the Voltage function on the rotary dial. Connect the test leads to the circuit points where voltage is to be measured. The device will display the voltage reading on the screen.

Insulation Resistance Test
For insulation resistance, select the INSULATION function. Connect the test leads to the circuit under test. Press the TEST button to initiate the measurement. The device offers various voltage and resistance selection options for customized settings.

Earth Resistance Test
To perform an earth resistance test, select the RE (Earth Resistance) function. Connect the test leads and auxiliary earth spikes as per the diagram in the manual. Press the TEST button. The device will display the earth resistance value.

Loop Impedance Test
Select the LOOP function for loop impedance measurements. Connect the test leads to the live and earth terminals of the circuit. Press the TEST button. The device performs a fast high current loop test and displays the impedance.

RCD Test (Residual Current Device)
Select the RCD function. The DT-6650 supports variable RCD current modes for customized settings and provides PASS/FAIL indications. Connect the test leads to the RCD protected circuit and initiate the test. The device will measure the trip time and current.

Data Transfer and Analysis
