5. Setup: Programming the Code

The Megaflint lock uses a mechanical code setting system with tumblers, offering over 8,000 possible combinations (4-8 digits, no repeats). The code can be entered in any order.

1. Remove the back panel of the keypad assembly to access the tumbler pins.
2. Identify the 'C' (clear) button and the numbered/lettered buttons.
3. To set your code, move the corresponding tumbler pins from the 'non-code' position to the 'code' position (refer to the detailed diagram in your physical manual for exact positions).
4. Ensure the 'C' (clear) button's tumbler is always in the 'code' position.
5. Replace the back panel securely.

Important: Test your new code multiple times with the door open before closing it to ensure it functions correctly.

1. Press the 'C' (clear) button to reset any previous entries.
2. Enter your 4-8 digit pass code in any order.

Insert the provided key into the keyhole on the exterior knob and turn to unlock the deadbolt.

6.3 Locking the Door

To lock the door from the exterior, simply turn the knob to the 'Lock' position (indicated by an arrow). The deadbolt will extend. This lock does not automatically lock, providing flexibility based on your security needs.

From the interior, the door can be opened or locked at any time by turning the knob without requiring a pass code.
