3. Product Overview

The Edifier TWS5 earbuds feature a compact, ergonomic design for comfortable wear. Each earbud is equipped with touch controls for easy management of audio playback and calls. The included charging case provides extended battery life and secure storage.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure both the earbuds and the charging case are fully charged. Place the earbuds into the charging case and connect the case to a USB power source using the provided charging cable. The LED indicators on the case will show charging status.

4.2 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the earbuds are in the charging case and the case has power.
2. Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
4. Select "EDIFIER TWS5" from the list of available devices.
5. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the LED indicators on the earbuds will change.
6. For subsequent uses, the earbuds will automatically connect to the last paired device when removed from the case.

The TWS5 utilizes Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX for stable and high-quality wireless audio transmission.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Touch Controls

The Edifier TWS5 earbuds feature intuitive touch controls on the outer surface of each earbud. Refer to the following table for common operations:

5.2 Single Earbud Use

The Edifier TWS5 earbuds support independent use of either the left or right earbud. Simply remove one earbud from the charging case, and it will automatically connect to your device. The other earbud can remain in the case or be used simultaneously for stereo sound.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean your earbuds and charging case to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For ear tips, they can be removed and gently cleaned with mild soap and water, then thoroughly dried before reattaching.

6.2 Water Resistance (IPX5)

The Edifier TWS5 earbuds are rated IPX5, meaning they are protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes them suitable for workouts and light rain. However, they are not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing the charging case to water.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Sound/Connection Issues:
  • Ensure earbuds and device are charged.
  • Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Try unpairing and re-pairing the earbuds.
  • Ensure earbuds are within the 10-meter Bluetooth range.
• Only One Earbud Playing:
  • Place both earbuds back into the charging case, close the lid, wait a few seconds, then open the lid and remove them simultaneously.
  • Ensure both earbuds are charged.
• Touch Controls Not Responding:
  • Ensure your fingers are clean and dry.
  • Try restarting the earbuds by placing them in the case and taking them out.
• Poor Audio Quality:
  • Ensure ear tips are correctly sized and provide a good seal in your ear canal.
  • Clean the ear tips and earbud nozzles.
  • Reduce interference by moving away from other wireless devices.
• Charging Case Not Charging:
  • Check the USB cable and power adapter.
  • Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris.
• Battery Life Shorter Than Expected:
  • Ensure both earbuds and case are fully charged before use.
  • High volume levels can reduce battery life.
• Water Droplets Triggering Touch Control:
  • Wipe the earbuds dry immediately after exposure to water or sweat.
