Safety Information

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Prepare the Ceiling: Ensure the power supply is disconnected. Cut a circular hole in the ceiling. The recommended hole diameter is 80mm. (Note: Some users have successfully installed in holes from 76mm to 83mm).
2. Connect Wiring: Open the connection box. Connect the 230V AC mains wiring to the double quick clamps inside the connection box. Ensure secure connections for live (L) and neutral (N) wires.
3. Insert LED Coin: Place the LED light source (LED coin) into the spotlight housing.
4. Mount the Spotlight: The spotlight features pre-assembled retaining springs. Fold these springs upwards and insert the spotlight into the prepared ceiling hole. The springs will hold the fixture securely in place.
5. Link Multiple Units (Optional): These spotlights are infinitely linkable. If installing multiple units, ensure proper wiring connections between each fixture's connection box.
6. Restore Power: Once all spotlights are securely installed and wired, restore power to the circuit.

Operating Instructions

The Paulmann Cole 93404 LED Recessed Spotlight features a 3-step dimming function controlled by a standard wall switch.

• Initial Power On: Upon first activation, the spotlights will illuminate at 100% brightness.
• Dimming Steps: To cycle through the dimming levels, quickly switch the light OFF and then ON again using your standard wall switch.
• Brightness Levels: The light will cycle through 100%, 50%, and 25% brightness.
• Reset: If the light is switched off for more than approximately 5 seconds, it will reset to 100% brightness upon the next power-on.
• Light Color: The spotlights emit a warm white light at 2700 Kelvin, providing a cozy and relaxing ambiance.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

• Light Not Turning On:
  • Check if the main power supply is connected and switched on.
  • Verify all wiring connections in the junction box are secure.
  • Ensure the LED coin is correctly seated in the fixture.
• Dimming Function Not Working:
  • Ensure you are using a standard wall switch. The 3-step dimming is integrated into the LED driver and does not require an external dimmer switch.
  • Perform the ON/OFF cycle quickly to activate the dimming steps. A slow cycle may reset it to 100%.
