2. Pairing the Remote and Receiver
The devices are typically pre-paired from the factory. If re-pairing is needed:
- Ensure both devices are turned off.
- Press and hold the power button on the receiver until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
- Within 10 seconds, press any correction button (Beep, Vibration, or Static) on the remote.
- The receiver's indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
3. Fitting the Collar Receiver
Proper fit is crucial for effective and humane operation. The contact points must have direct contact with your dog's skin.
- Select the appropriate length of contact points (short for short-haired dogs, long for long-haired dogs).
- Attach the collar strap to the receiver.
- Place the receiver on your dog's neck, centered below the chin.
- Adjust the strap so it is snug but not too tight. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the strap and your dog's neck.
- Trim any excess strap length if necessary.

Operating the Device
Remote Transmitter Functions
The remote features an LCD display and dedicated buttons for each function:
- Channel Button (1/2): Switches between training Dog 1, Dog 2, or both simultaneously (if applicable to your kit).
- Mode/Level Adjustment Button (Up/Down arrows): Adjusts the intensity level for Vibration and Static correction (8 adjustable levels).
- Beep Button: Delivers an audible tone to the receiver.
- Vibration Button: Delivers a non-harmful vibration to the receiver.
- Static Correction Button: Delivers a static pulse stimulation to the receiver. This is not an electric shock.

Training Modes and Levels
The GPT700-2 offers three distinct training modes:
- Beep: A warning sound. Often used as an initial cue before other corrections.
- Vibration: A tactile sensation. Can be used for attention or as a mild correction. Features 8 adjustable intensity levels.
- Static Correction: A humane static pulse. Used for more firm corrections. Features 8 adjustable intensity levels.
Always start with the lowest effective level and gradually increase if necessary. Observe your dog's reaction to determine the appropriate intensity.
Safety Features
- Foolproof Safety-Lock: If any correction button is pressed and held for more than 10 seconds, the device will automatically stop the correction to prevent over-stimulation.
- Signal Wake-up Technology: The collar receiver hibernates after 1 minute of inactivity to conserve battery, but instantly wakes up when a button is pressed on the remote.
Waterproof Design
- The collar receiver is fully IPX7 waterproof and submersible, allowing your dog to wear it during swimming or in wet conditions.
- The remote controller is IPX5 waterproof, resistant to splashes and rain.
Battery Life and Indicators
The GPT700-2 system is designed for extended battery performance:
- The collar receiver offers up to 90 days of standby time or 40 days of normal use on a single full charge.
- Both the remote and receiver have battery level indicators on their displays or via LED lights.
- The collar receiver features a super bright working indicator light, making your dog visible in low-light conditions.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the collar receiver and contact points with a damp cloth. Ensure no dirt or debris accumulates around the contact points.
- Collar Strap: Inspect the nylon strap for wear and tear. Replace if damaged.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the devices frequently. Charge them when the battery indicator shows low power.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the devices in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to charge them periodically to maintain battery health.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Collar receiver not responding to remote. | Low battery on either device; devices not paired; out of range. | Charge both devices. Re-pair the remote and receiver. Ensure you are within the 650-yard range. |
| Correction not felt by dog. | Collar too loose; contact points too short; intensity level too low. | Adjust collar for a snug fit. Use longer contact points if your dog has thick fur. Increase the intensity level gradually. |
| Remote LCD display is blank. | Low battery; remote is off. | Charge the remote. Press any button to wake up the remote from standby. |
| Short battery life. | Frequent use; aging battery. | Ensure devices are fully charged. Battery life naturally decreases over time. |
| Signal delay. | Environmental interference; remote in standby. | Ensure remote is active (press a button to wake). Try moving to a different location to reduce interference. |
