3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert 4 AAA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

3.2 Connecting Thermocouple Probes

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the Power button to turn the thermometer on.
  • Press and hold the Power button again to turn the thermometer off.
  • The device features an adjustable auto power-off timer to conserve battery life.

4.2 Basic Temperature Measurement

  1. Ensure probes are correctly connected to the input ports.
  2. Power on the device. The display will show temperature readings for each active channel.
  3. Place the probe tips at the desired measurement points. Allow a few moments for the readings to stabilize.

4.3 Unit Selection (°C/°F)

  • Press the UNIT button to toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.

4.4 Data Hold Function

  • Press the HOLD button to freeze the current temperature readings on the display.
  • Press the HOLD button again to release the hold and resume live readings.

4.5 Min/Max/Avg Functions

  • Press the MAX button to display the maximum temperature recorded since the device was powered on or the function was reset.
  • Press the MIN button to display the minimum temperature recorded.
  • Press the AVG button to display the average temperature recorded.
