Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee
- Add Water: Remove the lid and filter basket. Fill the urn with cold water to the desired level, indicated by the water level window. The urn can brew between 15 and 45 cups.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the filter basket into the urn. For best results, use a round paper filter (not included) in the basket to prevent grounds from entering the coffee. Add regular or drip grind coffee grounds to the filter basket. Refer to the table below for recommended coffee-to-water ratios.
- Secure Lid: Place the lid firmly on the urn, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The brewing process will begin automatically. The ready light will illuminate once brewing is complete.

Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)
Over time, mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in the urn, affecting performance. Descale your urn every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
- Fill the urn with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- Plug in the urn and allow it to complete a full brewing cycle.
- Unplug the urn and let it cool. Dispense the vinegar solution.
- Rinse the urn thoroughly by filling it with clean water and running several brewing cycles with water only until the vinegar odor is gone.
