4.1 Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug the coiled handset cord into the handset port on the phone base and the other end into the handset.
  2. Connect to Network: Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the phone and the other end into a network switch/hub or router. If using Power over Ethernet (PoE), the phone will power on automatically.
  3. Optional Power Adapter: If PoE is not available, connect a compatible 5V power adapter (sold separately) to the power jack on the phone and then to a power outlet.
  4. Connect PC (Optional): If you wish to connect a PC through the phone, plug an Ethernet cable from the PC into the PC port on the phone.

4.2 Powering the Phone

The GRP2612P supports two power options:

  • Power over Ethernet (PoE): If your network switch supports PoE, simply connecting the Ethernet cable to the LAN port will power the phone.
  • External Power Adapter: If PoE is not available, a 5V DC power adapter (not included with this model) is required. Connect the adapter to the phone's power port and a wall outlet.

Once powered, the phone will boot up and display network and account status on the screen.

5.3 Configuring Accounts

SIP account configuration is typically performed via the phone's web user interface (Web UI). To access the Web UI:

  3. Log in using the administrator credentials (default username: admin, default password: admin).
  4. Navigate to the 'Account' settings to configure your SIP accounts as provided by your VoIP service provider.

6. Maintenance

  • Environment: Keep the phone in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture.
  • Cables: Ensure all cables are securely connected and free from damage.
