Setup
1. Power Connection
- Uncoil the AC power cord completely.
- Plug the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.

2. Battery Backup Installation
The unit requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included) for battery backup. This feature maintains time and alarm settings during a power outage.
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Battery backup only preserves settings; the display will not illuminate, and the alarm will not sound during a power outage.
3. Antenna Setup
- FM Antenna: Extend the flexible wire FM antenna fully for optimal FM reception. Adjust its position for best signal.
- AM Antenna: The unit has a built-in AM antenna. For best AM reception, rotate the entire unit.
Operating Instructions
Setting the Clock Time
- In standby mode, press and hold the /SET button until the hour digits flash.
- Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
- Press the /SET button again; the minute digits will flash.
- Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to adjust the minutes.
- Press the /SET button once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.
Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)
The unit features two independent alarms.
- Press and hold either the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm hour digits flash.
- Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to set the desired alarm hour (observe AM/PM).
- Press the corresponding ALARM button again; the minute digits will flash.
- Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to set the desired alarm minutes.
- Press the ALARM button a third time to select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio).
- Press the ALARM button a fourth time to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
To turn an alarm ON/OFF, briefly press the corresponding ALARM button. The alarm indicator (AL1 or AL2) will appear/disappear on the display.
Snooze Function
When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence it for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after this period.
Sleep Timer Function
The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.
- While the radio is playing, repeatedly press the SLEEP/DIMMER button to cycle through sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
- The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.
Display Dimmer Control
In standby mode, briefly press the SLEEP/DIMMER button to adjust the brightness of the LCD display.
Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select AM or FM radio mode. The frequency will appear on the display.
- Manual Tuning: Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to manually adjust the frequency.
- Auto Scan Tuning: Press and hold the Tuning/Volume Knob for a few seconds to automatically scan for the next available station.
- Adjust the volume by rotating the Tuning/Volume Knob.

Storing and Recalling Radio Presets
The unit can store up to 10 FM and 10 AM stations.
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press and hold the MEM/MEM+ button until "P01" (or the next available preset number) flashes on the display.
- Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to select the desired preset number (P01-P10).
- Press the MEM/MEM+ button again to confirm and save the station.
- To recall a preset station, briefly press the MEM/MEM+ button repeatedly to cycle through stored stations.
Bluetooth Operation
- Press the SOURCE button to select Bluetooth mode. "BT" will flash on the display, indicating pairing mode.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or other audio device and search for available devices.
- Select "SB3500" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, "BT" will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly to the unit.
- Control playback (play/pause, skip tracks) from your connected device. Adjust volume using the Tuning/Volume Knob on the unit or your device.
AUX-IN Operation
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the back of the unit.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or line-out of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
- Press the SOURCE button to select AUX mode. "AUX" will appear on the display.
- Start playback on your external device. Adjust volume using the Tuning/Volume Knob on the unit or your device.
