Setup

1. Power Connection

1. Uncoil the AC power cord completely.

2. Battery Backup Installation

The unit requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included) for battery backup. This feature maintains time and alarm settings during a power outage.

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Clock Time

1. In standby mode, press and hold the /SET button until the hour digits flash.
2. Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
3. Press the /SET button again; the minute digits will flash.
4. Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to adjust the minutes.
5. Press the /SET button once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The unit features two independent alarms.

1. Press and hold either the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm hour digits flash.
2. Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to set the desired alarm hour (observe AM/PM).
3. Press the corresponding ALARM button again; the minute digits will flash.
4. Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to set the desired alarm minutes.
5. Press the ALARM button a third time to select the alarm source (Buzzer or Radio).
6. Press the ALARM button a fourth time to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.

To turn an alarm ON/OFF, briefly press the corresponding ALARM button. The alarm indicator (AL1 or AL2) will appear/disappear on the display.

Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence it for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after this period.

Sleep Timer Function

The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

1. While the radio is playing, repeatedly press the SLEEP/DIMMER button to cycle through sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
2. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.

Display Dimmer Control

In standby mode, briefly press the SLEEP/DIMMER button to adjust the brightness of the LCD display.

Radio Operation (AM/FM)

1. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select AM or FM radio mode. The frequency will appear on the display.
2. Manual Tuning: Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to manually adjust the frequency.
3. Auto Scan Tuning: Press and hold the Tuning/Volume Knob for a few seconds to automatically scan for the next available station.
4. Adjust the volume by rotating the Tuning/Volume Knob.

Storing and Recalling Radio Presets

The unit can store up to 10 FM and 10 AM stations.

1. Tune to the desired station.
2. Press and hold the MEM/MEM+ button until "P01" (or the next available preset number) flashes on the display.
3. Rotate the Tuning/Volume Knob to select the desired preset number (P01-P10).
4. Press the MEM/MEM+ button again to confirm and save the station.
5. To recall a preset station, briefly press the MEM/MEM+ button repeatedly to cycle through stored stations.

Bluetooth Operation

1. Press the SOURCE button to select Bluetooth mode. "BT" will flash on the display, indicating pairing mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or other audio device and search for available devices.
3. Select "SB3500" from the list of devices.
4. Once paired, "BT" will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly to the unit.

AUX-IN Operation

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the back of the unit.

3. Press the SOURCE button to select AUX mode. "AUX" will appear on the display.
