4.2 Connecting Test Leads
Always connect the test leads correctly for accurate and safe measurements.
- Insert the black test lead into the "COM" (common) jack.
- For most measurements (voltage, resistance, continuity, diode, capacitance, frequency, temperature), insert the red test lead into the "VΩHz" jack.
- For current measurements up to 600mA, insert the red test lead into the "mA" jack.
- For current measurements up to 10A, insert the red test lead into the "10A" jack.
5. Operating Instructions
The multimeter features both automatic and manual ranging modes. Use the 'SEL' button to switch between functions within a single rotary switch position, and to toggle between auto and manual range if applicable.

This image illustrates the multimeter's rotary dial, highlighting the integrated design that allows users to select between automatic and manual measurement ranges for various functions.
5.1 DC/AC Voltage Measurement (V)
- Turn the rotary switch to the V (DC) or V~ (AC) position.
- Connect the red test lead to the positive side and the black test lead to the negative side of the circuit.
- Read the voltage value on the display.
5.2 DC/AC Current Measurement (A/mA/µA)
- Turn the rotary switch to the A (DC) or A~ (AC) position, or mA/µA position.
- Connect the multimeter in series with the circuit. Ensure the red test lead is in the appropriate current jack (10A or mA/µA).
- Read the current value on the display.
5.3 Resistance Measurement (Ω)
- Turn the rotary switch to the Ω position.
- Ensure the circuit is de-energized before measuring resistance.
- Connect the test leads across the component to be measured.
- Read the resistance value.
5.4 Capacitance Measurement (F)
- Turn the rotary switch to the capacitance position.
- Discharge the capacitor completely before connecting the test leads.
- Connect the test leads across the capacitor.
- Read the capacitance value.
5.5 Frequency Measurement (Hz)
- Turn the rotary switch to the Hz position.
- Connect the test leads across the signal source.
- Read the frequency value.
5.6 Temperature Measurement (°C/°F)
- Turn the rotary switch to the °C/°F position.
- Connect the K-type temperature probe to the input jacks, observing polarity.
- Place the probe tip on or near the object whose temperature is to be measured.
- Read the temperature value.
5.7 NCV (Non-Contact Voltage) Detection
- Turn the rotary switch to the NCV position.
- Move the top of the multimeter close to the AC voltage source.
- An alarm beep will sound and the LED will flash if AC voltage is detected.
5.8 Live Wire Identification

This image depicts the multimeter's live wire identification function, with the display showing 'LIVE' as a test probe is used to detect the presence of AC voltage in an electrical outlet.

Press the 'HOLD' button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release.
5.12 Flashlight
Press the flashlight button to turn on the built-in flashlight for illumination in dark environments. Press again to turn off.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Keep the test leads clean and dry.
6.2 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in Section 4.1.
6.3 Fuse Replacement
If the multimeter displays "FUSE" and the buzzer sounds during current measurement, the fuses may have blown. Replace them with fuses of the specified type and rating (e.g., F600mA/250V and F10A/250V). Refer to the internal diagram for fuse locations.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display or dim display | Low batteries or incorrect battery installation | Replace batteries or check polarity. |
| "OL" displayed | Overload or out of range measurement | Select a higher range or ensure the measured value is within limits. |
| "FUSE" displayed and buzzer sounds | Blown fuse during current measurement | Replace the appropriate fuse (refer to Section 6.3). |
| "LEAD" displayed and buzzer sounds | Incorrect test lead connection for selected function | Ensure test leads are connected to the correct input jacks for the chosen measurement mode. |
| Inaccurate readings | Poor contact, damaged leads, or external interference | Check lead connections, inspect leads for damage, or move away from strong electromagnetic fields. |
