Introduction
The Deerma Small Dehumidifier (Model CS50M) is a portable and renewable moisture absorber designed to efficiently remove dampness from small spaces. Utilizing non-toxic silica gel crystals, this device helps maintain a dry and fresh environment without the need for constant replacements or messy spills.

Key Features:
- Renewable Silica Gel Crystals: Non-toxic, safe, and spill-free silica gel crystal beads effectively absorb dampness.
- Renewable & Reusable: Rechargeable by plugging in for 12-15 hours, allowing for 2-3 weeks of moisture absorption per cycle.
- Ideal for Small Spaces: Compact design suitable for areas up to 5 square meters, such as wardrobes, cabinets, jewelry boxes, and gym bags.
- Cylinder Design: Offers a larger absorption area (385cm²) compared to traditional dehumidifier boxes (around 150cm²).
- No Leakage, No Spillage: Silica gel beads change from orange to dark green when saturated, preventing leaks common with traditional dehumidification boxes.
Setup
The Deerma Small Dehumidifier is ready to use out of the box. No initial setup is required other than ensuring the silica gel beads are in a dry state (orange color). If the beads are already dark green upon arrival, proceed to the recharging instructions.

Operating Instructions
- Placement: Place the dehumidifier in any small, enclosed space where moisture is a concern, such as wardrobes, cabinets, shoe racks, or storage boxes. Ensure adequate air circulation around the device for optimal performance.
- Moisture Absorption: The silica gel beads inside the unit will begin absorbing moisture from the air. As they absorb moisture, their color will gradually change from orange to dark green.
- Visual Indicator: Monitor the color of the silica gel beads through the visual window on the device.

The dehumidifier operates silently and does not require power during the absorption phase.
Note: The rate at which the beads change color depends on the humidity level of the environment. In higher humidity, the color change will occur faster.
Maintenance (Recharging)
When the silica gel beads have turned dark green, it indicates that they are saturated with moisture and need to be recharged. The recharging process reactivates the beads, allowing them to absorb moisture again.
- Check Bead Color: Confirm that the beads are dark green through the visual window.
- Plug In: Locate the retractable plug on the device. Extend the plug and insert the dehumidifier directly into a standard electrical outlet.
- Recharging Time: Allow the device to recharge for approximately 12-15 hours. During this time, the ceramic PTC heating elements will gently heat the silica gel, releasing the absorbed moisture.

- Verify Recharge: Once fully recharged, the silica gel beads will return to their original orange color.
- Unplug and Reuse: Unplug the dehumidifier from the outlet and store the plug. The device is now ready for another 2-3 weeks of moisture absorption.
Caution: The dehumidifier will become warm during recharging. Ensure it is placed in a well-ventilated area and not covered by any materials. Do not leave it plugged in for excessively long periods (e.g., more than 18 hours) to prevent potential overheating and damage to the unit.
Troubleshooting
- Dehumidifier not absorbing moisture:
- Check if the silica gel beads are dark green. If so, the unit is saturated and needs recharging.
- Ensure the device is placed in an enclosed space. Its effectiveness is reduced in large, open areas.
- Beads not turning orange after recharging:
- Ensure the device was plugged in for the recommended 12-15 hours.
- If the environment is extremely humid, the beads might require a longer recharging time or multiple cycles with cooling periods in between.
- Device feels excessively hot during recharging:
- Unplug the device immediately.
- Ensure it is not covered and has proper ventilation. Allow it to cool down before attempting to recharge again.
