1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1 Unfolding and Assembly

1. Unfold the Gimbal: Release the locking mechanism on the gimbal arm and carefully unfold it until it clicks into place.
2. Attach the Mini Tripod: Screw the mini tripod securely into the 1/4-inch thread located at the bottom of the gimbal handle.

3.2 Mounting Your Smartphone

1. Unlock Axis Clamps: Ensure all three axis clamps (roll, tilt, pan) are unlocked before mounting your phone.
2. Insert Smartphone: Gently expand the phone clamp and insert your smartphone. Position the phone as centrally as possible to ensure optimal balance. It is recommended to remove any phone cases for better grip and balance.
3. Balance Adjustment: The VLOG pocket is designed to automatically balance most smartphones. However, for heavier phones, slight manual adjustment by sliding the phone within the clamp may be necessary to achieve perfect balance.

3.3 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the multi-function button (top button on the handle) for 1-2 seconds until the indicator light turns blue and you hear a beep.
• Power Off: Press and hold the multi-function button again for 1-2 seconds until the indicator light turns off.

3.4 Initialization

If the gimbal experiences abnormal behavior or is not stable, it may require initialization:

1. Enter Initialization Mode: Press the Mode button (bottom button on the handle) 5 times. Stop when you hear a beep. The status indicator will be solid blue.
2. Automatic Initialization: Place the VLOG pocket stabilizer on a flat, stable surface. It will automatically detect its position and initialize. Initialization is successful when the blue light changes from a stable blink to 3 periodic blinks.
3. Activate: Once initialization is complete, click the function key to activate the gimbal.

Note: If initialization fails for an extended period, click "Wake Up" and re-initialize.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Controls

• Multi-function Button (Top):
  • Single click: Switch between panning mode and lock mode.
  • Double click: Toggle between portrait and landscape orientation.
• Shutter Button (Bottom):
  • Single click: Take a photo (in photo mode) or start/stop recording (in video mode) when connected to the Feiyu ON app.
  • Long press: Take multiple photos or continuous video.
• Trigger Button (Side):
  • Press and hold: Activates follow mode.
  • Double click: Resets the gimbal to its initial position.

Download the Feiyu ON app from your smartphone's app store to unlock advanced features and control options for your VLOG pocket.

• AI Tracking: The app allows you to select a subject on screen, and the gimbal will automatically track its movement, keeping it in frame.

5. Maintenance

• Storage: When not in use, fold the gimbal and store it in the provided fabric pouch to protect it from dust and scratches. Store in a cool, dry place.
• Battery Care: Charge the gimbal regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.

6. Troubleshooting

• Gimbal Not Stabilizing:
  • Ensure your smartphone is properly mounted and balanced.
  • Check that all axis clamps are unlocked.
  • Perform a gimbal initialization (refer to Section 3.4).
• Short Battery Life:
  • Ensure the gimbal is fully charged before use.
  • Avoid operating in extreme temperatures.
• App Connectivity Issues:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the gimbal is powered on.

• Gimbal Turns Off Unexpectedly:
