Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Logitech MK550 Wireless Wave Keyboard, the precision laser mouse, and the Logitech Unifying receiver.
2. Battery Installation
The keyboard and mouse require AA batteries. The keyboard has an approximate battery life of 3 years, and the mouse has an approximate battery life of 2 years, depending on usage.
- Keyboard: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard. Insert the required AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Mouse: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse. Insert the required AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Connecting the Unifying Receiver
The Logitech MK550 combo uses a single Logitech Unifying receiver for both the keyboard and mouse.
- Plug the Logitech Unifying receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard and mouse should automatically connect. If not, press the Connect button on the underside of the keyboard and mouse (if available) or use the Logitech Unifying Software.
4. Software Installation (Optional)
For advanced customization, such as programming the 18 hotkeys on the keyboard, you may download the Logitech Options software from the official Logitech website. An internet connection is required for software download.
