- LED Panel: High-brightness 30W LED array.
- Motion Sensor (PIR): Detects infrared heat signatures for motion activation.
- Photocell: Detects ambient light levels for dusk-to-dawn operation.
- Adjustable Bracket: Allows for multi-angle positioning.
- Heat Sink: Located on the back for efficient heat dissipation.
5. Setup and Installation
This light is designed for wall or eave mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy and can support the fixture's weight.
5.1 Mounting Options

Figure 5.1: Illustration of flexible mounting positions and sensor rotation.
- Wall Mounted: Securely attach to a vertical wall surface.
- Under Eave Mounting: Ideal for overhead coverage, mounted to the underside of an eave.
- Adjustable Positioning: The lamp and sensor can be rotated to achieve optimal coverage.
5.2 Installation Steps
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the installation area and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Mark the drilling points for the mounting bracket on your desired surface.
- Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Insert wall anchors if necessary.
- Attach Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
- Wire Connections: Connect the light's wires to your household wiring. Typically, this involves connecting the live (black) wire to live, neutral (white) to neutral, and ground (green/bare copper) to ground. Ensure all connections are tight and insulated with wire nuts.
- Mount Fixture: Attach the light fixture to the secured mounting bracket. Tighten any screws to hold the light firmly in place.
- Adjust Angle: Adjust the angle of the light fixture and the motion sensor to your desired coverage area.
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.
6. Operating Instructions
The LE 30W LED Security Light features adjustable settings for optimal performance.
6.1 Sensor Adjustments

Figure 6.1: Sensor adjustment knobs for TIME, SENS, and LUX settings.
- TIME (Delay Time): Controls how long the light stays on after motion is detected. Adjustable from approximately 3 seconds to 8 minutes (480 seconds). Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the duration, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- SENS (Sensitivity): Adjusts the detection range of the motion sensor. Adjustable from approximately 4 meters to 10 meters (13 to 33 feet). Rotate clockwise for higher sensitivity and longer detection range, counter-clockwise for lower sensitivity and shorter range.
- LUX (Light Sensitivity): Determines the ambient light level at which the motion sensor becomes active.
- Rotate towards the sun symbol (
): The light will activate with motion during both day and night. - Rotate towards the moon symbol (
): The light will only activate with motion when ambient light levels are low (at dusk or night). This is the recommended setting for energy saving.
- Rotate towards the sun symbol (
6.2 Motion Detection Range

Figure 6.2: The sensor has a 120-degree detection angle and a maximum range of 10 meters.
The motion sensor has a detection angle of 120 degrees and a maximum range of 10 meters (33 feet). For optimal performance, ensure the sensor is not obstructed and is positioned to cover the desired area.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your security light.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the light fixture and sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the wiring and mounting for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening.
- Heat Dissipation: Ensure the heat sink on the back of the fixture is free from debris or obstructions to allow for proper heat dissipation.

Figure 7.1: The heat sink on the back of the unit effectively dissipates heat, crucial for product longevity.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your security light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power; LUX setting too high (daylight); Sensor obstructed; Faulty wiring. | Check circuit breaker; Adjust LUX setting to moon symbol for night operation; Clear obstructions from sensor; Verify wiring connections. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Constant motion in detection area; LUX setting too low (always dark); TIME setting too long; Sensor malfunction. | Adjust sensor angle/sensitivity to avoid unwanted triggers; Adjust LUX setting; Reduce TIME setting; Contact support if sensor is faulty. |
| Light flashes or flickers. | Unstable power supply; Loose wiring; Sensor interference. | Check power source stability; Secure all wiring connections; Ensure no strong light sources or reflective surfaces are interfering with the sensor. |
| Motion sensor not detecting. | SENS setting too low; Sensor obstructed; Incorrect mounting height/angle. | Increase SENS setting; Clear obstructions; Adjust sensor angle and ensure it's mounted at an appropriate height (recommended 6-10 ft). |
