1. Introduction

2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Contents
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:
- Sharp Micro Component System (Main Unit)
- Remote Control (Model: RRMCGA415AWSA)
- Power Cord
- AM/FM Antenna (if included)
- User Manual (this document)
2.2 Placement
Place the system on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Allow adequate ventilation around the unit. The system dimensions are approximately 16.5 x 11.3 x 5.1 inches (L x W x H).
2.3 Power Connection
Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN jack on the rear of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard AC wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz). Ensure the power source matches the unit's requirements.
2.4 Antenna Connection
For optimal AM/FM radio reception, connect the supplied AM/FM antenna to the respective jacks on the rear of the unit. Extend the FM wire antenna fully and position it for best reception. For AM, ensure the loop antenna is oriented correctly.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
Press the ON/STANDBY button on the remote control or the main unit to turn the system on or off.
3.2 Source Selection
Press the INPUT button on the main unit or the corresponding source buttons (e.g., BLUETOOTH, USB, CD, TUNER, AUDIO/LINE) on the remote control to select the desired playback source.
3.3 CD Playback
- Press the CD button to select the CD source.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place a CD (CD/MP3/CD-R/CD-RW) with the label side up into the tray.
- Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray. Playback will begin automatically.
- Use PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP, and SEARCH buttons for control.
3.4 USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the unit.
- Press the USB button to select the USB source.
- The system will automatically detect and begin playing compatible MP3 files.
- Use PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP, and FOLDER buttons for navigation and control.
3.5 Bluetooth Streaming
- Press the BLUETOOTH button to select the Bluetooth source. The display will show "BLUETOOTH" and "PAIRING".
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "SHARP CD-BH20" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the display will indicate a successful connection. You can now stream audio from your device to the system.
- Use your connected device or the system's playback controls to manage audio.
3.6 AM/FM Radio Tuning
- Press the TUNER button to select the radio source. Press BAND to switch between AM and FM bands.
- Use the TUNING buttons (<< / >>) to manually tune to a station.
- Press and hold the TUNING buttons for automatic scanning to the next strong station.
- To preset a station: Tune to the desired station, then press PRESET MEMORY. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select a preset number, then press ENTER to save.
- To recall a preset station: Use the PRESET buttons (UP/DOWN arrows) to select the desired preset number.
3.7 Audio Adjustment
- Volume: Use the VOL + or VOL - buttons on the remote or the volume knob on the main unit.
- Bass/Treble: Use the BASS and TREBLE buttons on the remote to adjust tone levels.
- X-Bass/Super Bass: Press the BASS BOOST button (or similar, indicated as X-Bass in features) to enhance bass output.
3.8 Remote Control Functions
The remote control provides full functionality for the system. Key buttons include:
- ON/STANDBY: Power on/off.
- OPEN/CLOSE: Open/close CD tray.
- BLUETOOTH, USB, CD, TUNER, AUDIO/LINE: Source selection.
- PAIRING: Initiate Bluetooth pairing.
- DIMMER, DISPLAY: Adjust display brightness/information.
- CLOCK, TIMER, SLEEP: Set clock, timer, and sleep functions.
- PRESET, FOLDER, TUNING: Navigation and tuning controls.
- ENTER: Confirm selection.
- ECO: Eco mode activation.
- TREBLE, BASS: Tone control.
- VOL +/ -: Volume adjustment.
- CLEAR, SOUND (DEFAULT): Reset settings or sound modes.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Unit
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. For stubborn stains, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
4.2 CD/USB Care
Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints. Clean CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth wiping from the center outwards. Keep USB devices free from dust and moisture. Always remove USB devices safely from the port when not in use.
