VIRO Rides Turn Style Electric Drift Board User Manual

Brand: Viro Rides | Model: 653094

Introduction

The VIRO Rides Turn Style Electric Drift Board is an innovative electronic skateboard designed for dynamic riding. It features patented drift plate technology, allowing for tight turns and versatile maneuverability. This manual provides essential information for the safe setup, operation, and maintenance of your drift board.

Safety Information

WARNING: Always wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads, when operating the electric drift board. Adult supervision is recommended for younger riders. Always check and comply with local laws and regulations regarding electric skateboard use. Do not ride in traffic or on public roads. Avoid riding on wet, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Regularly inspect the board for any damage or loose components before each use. Ensure the battery is properly charged and the remote control is functioning correctly.

Setup

1. Unboxing and Inspection

Carefully remove the electric drift board and its components from the packaging. Verify that all included items are present, including the board, wireless speed controller, and charger. Inspect the board for any visible damage that may have occurred during shipping.

2. Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the 22V rechargeable battery. Connect the charger to the board's charging port and then to a standard electrical outlet. The charger indicator light typically changes color (e.g., red to green) to indicate charging status. If the light remains green immediately upon plugging in, or if the board does not power on after charging, ensure all battery connections are secure. A full charge can take several hours.

3. Remote Control Pairing

The thumb-activated wireless speed controller is typically pre-paired at the factory. If the remote does not connect to the board, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure both the board and the remote are powered off.
  2. Power on the board.
  3. Within 5 seconds of powering on the board, power on the remote control.
  4. The remote's indicator light should confirm successful pairing. Refer to the remote's specific instructions for detailed pairing procedures.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

To power on the board, press and hold the power button located on the deck until the indicator lights illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the lights turn off.

2. Using the Hand Speed Controller

The wireless speed controller allows you to control acceleration and braking. Use your thumb to gently push the lever forward for acceleration and pull it back for electronic braking. Practice in an open, safe area to become familiar with the controls.

3. Adjusting Drift Plate Settings

The Turn Style Electric Drift Board features four different drift modes, allowing you to adjust the angle and radius of your turns. The drift plate can be set to carve turns up to 36 degrees in either direction.

Locate the adjustment mechanism on the underside of the board. Move the lever to select your desired drift mode. Experiment with different settings to find the one that suits your riding style and desired turn tightness.

4. Riding Techniques

Stand on the board with your feet positioned over the non-slip grip tape. Maintain a balanced stance. Use the hand controller for smooth acceleration and braking. Lean into turns to engage the drift plate technology for carving. Practice turning and drifting in a controlled environment.

Maintenance

1. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, charge the battery fully after each use and avoid completely draining it. If storing the board for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 3 months to prevent deep discharge.

2. Cleaning the Board

Wipe the board with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive water, which can damage electronic components. Ensure the grip tape is clean for optimal foot traction.

3. Wheel and Component Inspection

Regularly check the polyurethane wheels for wear and tear. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tight, especially those securing the trucks and drift plate mechanism. Loose components can affect performance and safety.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Board does not turn on or charge.
Solution: Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the board and a working power outlet. If the charger light remains green but the board doesn't power on, the internal battery connection might be loose or the battery may be deeply discharged. It is recommended to contact customer support for assistance with internal components.
Problem: Remote control does not sync with the board.
Solution: Follow the pairing steps outlined in the "Setup" section. Ensure both devices are fully charged and within range. If issues persist, try replacing the remote's batteries.
Problem: Reduced speed or range.
Solution: This may indicate a low battery charge. Ensure the battery is fully charged before each ride. Extreme temperatures, rider weight, and terrain can also affect performance. If performance issues continue after a full charge, the battery may need servicing.
