2. Safety Information

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all protective materials, including any plastic wrapping from the filters located inside the unit. Failure to remove filter wrapping will prevent proper operation.
- Check for any visible damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
4.2 Placement
- Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in the desired room.
- Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of space around the air inlet and outlet for proper airflow.
- For effective dehumidification, operate the unit in an enclosed space with doors and windows closed.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

4.3 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet that matches the voltage requirements of the unit. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features various buttons and indicators for operation.

5.2 Power On/Off
Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
5.3 Mode Selection
Press the Mode button to cycle through the available operating modes:
- Auto: Automatically adjusts dehumidification based on ambient humidity.
- Dehumidifying: Operates to reduce room humidity. Can be set to a target humidity level.
- Laundry: Optimized airflow and dehumidification for drying clothes indoors.
- Deodorizing: Activates Plasmacluster ions to reduce odors.
- Air Purification Only: Operates solely as an air purifier without dehumidification.
- Sleep: Operates quietly with dimmed display.
- Medium & High: Fan speed settings.

5.4 Humidity Setting
In Dehumidifying mode, you can set your desired humidity level between 40% and 60% in 5% increments. The unit will operate to maintain this level.
5.5 Continuous Drainage
For continuous operation without emptying the water tank, connect a suitable drainage hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.
5.6 Water Tank Management
The unit has a 4.6-liter water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off, and a 'Water Tank Full' indicator will illuminate. Carefully remove the tank, empty the collected water, and reinsert it securely to resume operation.
5.7 Child Lock
To activate or deactivate the child lock, press and hold the designated button (refer to control panel diagram) for a few seconds. This prevents accidental changes to settings.
5.8 Airflow Swing
The unit features both horizontal and vertical swing options to distribute purified and dehumidified air effectively throughout the room.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
- Pre-filter: The pre-filter should be cleaned regularly (e.g., every two weeks) by vacuuming or washing with water. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
- HEPA and Active Carbon Filters: These filters have an estimated lifespan of 5 years under normal usage. They are not washable and should be replaced when the filter indicator light illuminates or when a decrease in air purification performance is noticed. Replacement filters can be purchased from authorized SHARP service centers.
6.2 Water Tank Cleaning
Clean the water tank periodically to prevent mold and mildew growth. Use a mild detergent and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before reinserting.
6.3 Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
