4. Setup
4.1. Device Layout
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and ports on your AKAMATE FX100 MP3 Player:

- One-Click Record: Red button on the side for instant voice recording.
- Volume +: Increase volume.
- Volume -: Decrease volume.
- Microphone: For voice recording.

4.2. Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge your MP3 player using the provided Type-C to USB 2.0 Charging Cable. Connect the Type-C end to the player's Type-C slot and the USB-A end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.
4.3. Connecting to a Computer & Transferring Files
To transfer music, videos, photos, or e-books to your MP3 player:
- Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the provided Type-C to USB 2.0 Charging Cable.
- The player is universally compatible with Windows Vista/2000/XP/7/8/8.1/10 and Mac OS 10.
- Your computer should recognize the device as a removable disk.
- Drag and drop your desired files (audio, video, images, TXT files) into the appropriate folders on the player's internal storage or inserted TF card.
- Once transfer is complete, safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting the cable.
Note: The playlist displays up to 4,000 songs. If you have more, they will still be stored but may not appear in the main playlist view.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off & Screen Lock
- Power On: Press and hold the Power/Keyboard Lock button (5) until the AKAMATE logo appears.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Keyboard Lock button (5) until the screen turns off.
- Screen Lock: Briefly press the Power/Keyboard Lock button (5) to lock the screen and prevent accidental presses. Repeat to unlock.
5.2. Menu Navigation
Use the navigation buttons to move through the menus:
- Up Button (8) / Down Button (12): Scroll through menu options.
- Play/Pause Button (10): Select an option or confirm an action.
- Return Button (6): Go back to the previous screen or menu.
- Manage Option Button (7): Access specific options within an application (e.g., music settings).
5.3. Music Playback
- From the main menu, select "Music" and press the Play/Pause button (10).
- Navigate through your music library (Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists, etc.).
- Select a song and press Play/Pause (10) to begin playback.
- Use Volume + (2) and Volume - (3) to adjust the volume.
- Use Previous Song (9) and Next Song (11) to skip tracks.
- Press Play/Pause (10) to pause or resume playback.
- To fast-forward or rewind within a song, press and hold Previous Song (9) or Next Song (11).
- The device supports Lyric Sync (LRC format) if compatible lyric files are present.
5.4. Bluetooth Connectivity
The Bluetooth function is for audio output only (e.g., connecting to Bluetooth headphones or speakers). It cannot be used for data transfer with mobile phones.
- From the main menu, select "Bluetooth" and press Play/Pause (10).
- Ensure your Bluetooth audio device is in pairing mode.
- The player will scan for available devices. Select your device from the list.
- Once paired, audio will be routed through the Bluetooth device.
- Important: If the player is turned off and back on, you may need to re-enable Bluetooth from the menu as it does not automatically resume Bluetooth connection.
5.5. FM Radio
To use the FM Radio, you must connect wired earphones to the Earphone Jack (15), as they act as the antenna.
- Connect wired earphones.
- From the main menu, select "FM Radio".
- Use the navigation buttons to scan for stations or manually tune.
- FM Receiving Frequency: 87.5MHz~108MHz.
5.6. Voice Recording
The AKAMATE FX100 features a convenient one-click recording function.
- One-Click Recording: Press the dedicated One-Click Record button (1) on the side of the device to start recording immediately. Press it again to stop and save.
- Via Menu: Alternatively, select "Record" from the main menu. You can then choose to start a new recording, play existing recordings, or access recording settings.
- Recordings are saved in WAV/MP3 format.
5.7. Other Functions
- Video Playback: Select "Video" from the main menu. Supports AMV/AVI formats (240*320 resolution).
- Picture Browsing: Select "Photo" to view JPG/BMP images.
- E-book: Select "Ebook" to read TXT format files (within 10MB).
- Pedometer: Select "Pedometer" to track your steps.
- File Browsing: Select "Folder" to access and manage files directly on the device's internal storage or TF card.
