4.2 Programming Access Codes
Refer to the specific instructions for your CAME radio receiver (e.g., 001AF43S or 001RE432M) for detailed steps on pairing the keypad and programming access codes. Generally, the process involves:
- Activating the programming mode on your CAME radio receiver.
- Entering the desired access code (2 to 8 digits) on the 806SL-0170 keypad.
- Confirming the code on the keypad, which sends the signal to the receiver.
- Exiting programming mode on the receiver.
The keypad supports up to 25 unique codes. Ensure codes are kept confidential.
4.3 Using the Keypad for Access
To gain access, simply enter your pre-programmed access code on the keypad. Upon successful entry, the keypad will transmit a signal to the paired CAME receiver, triggering the connected device (e.g., gate, door).
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
The unit is powered by a CR123A battery. When the battery level is low, the keypad's backlight may dim or fail to illuminate, or the transmission range may decrease. To replace the battery:
- Open the rear casing of the keypad unit.
- Remove the old CR123A battery.
- Insert a new CR123A battery, observing correct polarity.
- Securely close the rear casing.
5.2 Cleaning
Clean the keypad surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components. The IP54 rating ensures protection against dust and splashing water, but avoid direct high-pressure water jets.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Keypad does not respond or backlight is dim. | Low or dead battery. | Replace the CR123A battery (refer to Section 5.1). |
| Keypad enters code but gate/door does not open. | Incorrect code entered. Keypad not paired with receiver. Receiver malfunction or out of range. | Verify the code. Re-pair the keypad with the CAME radio receiver (refer to your receiver's manual). Check receiver's power and antenna. Ensure keypad is within operational range. |
| Intermittent operation. | Weak battery. Radio interference. Keypad too far from receiver. | Replace battery. Identify and remove sources of interference. Relocate keypad closer to the receiver or ensure clear line of sight. |
