Setup and Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure your vehicle's battery is disconnected to prevent electrical shorts. Professional installation is recommended.

Wiring Connections
Refer to the wiring diagram provided with your unit for specific connections. Key connections include:
- Power: Connect the yellow wire to constant 12V, red wire to switched 12V (ignition), and black wire to ground.
- Speakers: Connect speaker wires to the corresponding vehicle speaker wires. Ensure correct polarity.
- Antenna: Connect the vehicle's antenna cable.
- Microphone: Plug the external microphone into the dedicated microphone input on the rear of the unit.
- RCA Pre-outs: For external amplifiers, connect RCA cables to the Front, Rear, and Subwoofer pre-outs.

Mounting
Install the unit into the vehicle's dashboard using the provided mounting sleeve and hardware. Ensure it is securely fastened.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Source Selection
- Press the SOURCE button to turn the unit on. Press and hold to turn off.
- Repeatedly press the SOURCE button to cycle through available sources: Tuner (AM/FM), USB, Bluetooth Audio, AUX.
Bluetooth Pairing and Operation
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- On the UTE-73BT, select the Bluetooth source. The unit will enter pairing mode automatically or can be manually set via the menu.
- Search for "UTE-73BT" on your mobile device's Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
- Once paired, you can stream audio and make/receive hands-free calls.
- Use the CALL button for call functions and the volume knob for call volume.
USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the front panel.
- The unit will automatically switch to USB source and begin playback of compatible audio files (e.g., WMA, FLAC).
- Use the forward/backward buttons to skip tracks.
Auxiliary Input
- Connect your audio device to the 3.5mm AUX input on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable.
- Select the AUX source on the UTE-73BT.
- Control playback from your connected device.

Sound Settings
- Press the SETUP button to access audio settings such as Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, and Equalizer presets.
- Rotate the volume knob to adjust values and press to confirm.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit's display and buttons. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Detachable Faceplate: The faceplate is detachable for security. Store it in a protective case when removed.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Alpine website periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Troubleshooting
