5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Giandel 5000W Power Inverter:
- Preparation:
- Ensure the inverter is placed on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
- Verify your battery system is 12V and has sufficient capacity (500 AH or above recommended for large loads).
- Gather all necessary tools: screwdriver, wrench (if needed for battery terminals).
- Connecting Battery Cables:
- First, connect the ring terminals of the red (positive) battery cables to the positive (+) terminal on the inverter. Tighten securely.
- Next, connect the ring terminals of the black (negative) battery cables to the negative (-) terminal on the inverter. Tighten securely.
- Then, connect the other end of the red (positive) battery cables to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery bank. Tighten securely.
- Finally, connect the other end of the black (negative) battery cables to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V battery bank. Tighten securely.
- Ensure all connections are firm to prevent voltage drop and overheating.
- Grounding the Inverter:
- Connect the included earth wire to the grounding terminal on the inverter.
- Connect the other end of the earth wire to a proper earth ground (e.g., vehicle chassis, ground rod).
- Connecting the Remote Controller:
- Plug the RJ10 cable from the remote controller into the designated remote port on the inverter's front panel.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the inverter is properly set up, follow these steps to operate it:
- Powering On:
- Press and hold the power button on the inverter (or the remote controller) for 1-2 seconds to turn it ON. The LCD display will illuminate, showing battery voltage and output voltage.
- Connecting Appliances:
- Plug your 120V AC devices into the AC outlets on the inverter.
- For high-wattage appliances (1500-5000W), use the hardwire terminal block. Consult a qualified electrician for hardwire connections.
- For charging USB devices, plug them into the 2.4A USB ports.
- Monitoring:
- Monitor the LCD display for real-time information on input voltage, output voltage, and battery level.
- Pay attention to any error codes or warnings displayed.
- Powering Off:
- Before disconnecting any appliances, press and hold the power button on the inverter (or remote controller) for 1-2 seconds to turn it OFF.
- Disconnect all appliances and then the battery cables (negative first, then positive) if storing the inverter.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter:
- Cleaning: Keep the inverter clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Ventilation: Periodically check that the cooling fan and vents are clear of obstructions.
- Connections: Regularly inspect all electrical connections (battery cables, grounding wire, AC plugs) for tightness and corrosion. Tighten any loose connections.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the inverter in a cool, dry place. Disconnect it from the battery.
- Battery Health: Maintain your battery bank according to the battery manufacturer's recommendations. A healthy battery is crucial for inverter performance.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inverter does not turn on. |
|
|
| No AC output. |
|
|
| LCD shows error code. | Specific protection triggered (e.g., over-voltage, under-voltage, overload, overheat). | Refer to the LCD display for the specific error reason. Address the underlying cause (e.g., reduce load, check battery voltage, improve ventilation). |
| Fan not running. | Fan only activates when internal temperature reaches a certain threshold. | This is normal operation. If the inverter is hot and the fan is still not running, ensure vents are clear and contact support if issue persists. |
