1. Product Overview

2. What's Included

Upon unpacking, please ensure all the following components are present:

  • 1 x Harp and Finial

3. Setup and Assembly

The JONATHAN Y Alaro Table Lamp is designed for easy assembly. Follow these steps to set up your lamp:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Place them on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Attach Harp: Secure the harp (the U-shaped wire frame) to the saddle on the lamp base.
  3. Place Shade: Position the linen drum shade onto the harp.
  4. Secure Finial: Screw the finial (decorative top piece) onto the threaded rod at the top of the harp to hold the shade in place.
  5. Install Bulb: Carefully screw the included LED bulb into the lamp socket (E26 base). Do not overtighten.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the lamp's cord into a standard 120-volt electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

To operate your JONATHAN Y Alaro Table Lamp:

  • Power On/Off: The lamp is equipped with a rotary switch located on the socket. Turn the switch clockwise to turn the lamp ON, and counter-clockwise to turn it OFF.
  • Bulb Type: The lamp uses an E26 base LED bulb, which is included. For replacement, use an E26 base bulb with a maximum wattage of 100 watts.

5. Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Base: Dust the woven water hyacinth base regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure the base is dried immediately to prevent moisture damage. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Cleaning the Shade: Dust the linen shade with a soft brush or a lint roller. Spot clean any marks with a mild fabric cleaner, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
  • Bulb Replacement: Always unplug the lamp before replacing the bulb. Allow the old bulb to cool completely before removing. Screw in the new E26 base LED bulb gently.
  • General Care: Avoid placing the lamp in direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent fading of the natural materials. Keep away from excessive moisture.

6. Troubleshooting

If your lamp is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues:

  • Lamp Does Not Turn On:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the light bulb is screwed in correctly and is not loose.
    • Verify that the bulb is not burnt out. Replace if necessary.
    • Confirm the rotary switch is fully turned to the 'ON' position.
  • Flickering Light:
    • Tighten the light bulb in the socket.
    • Ensure the bulb is compatible with the lamp's electrical specifications.
