Safety Instructions

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash all stainless steel trays and the drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the interior and exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the dehydrator on a dry, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space (at least 6 inches) around all sides of the unit for proper air circulation.
  4. Insert Trays: Slide the clean drying trays into the designated slots inside the dehydrator. Ensure the drip tray is placed at the bottom.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your Ivation Food Dehydrator:

  1. Prepare Food: Wash, peel, and slice your desired food items. Arrange them in a single layer on the drying trays, ensuring no pieces overlap for optimal air circulation.
  2. Load Trays: Carefully slide the loaded trays into the dehydrator. Close the door securely.
  3. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the dehydrator. The display will illuminate.
  4. Set Time: Press the TEMP/TIME button once. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the desired drying time (from 30 minutes to 24 hours, in 30-minute increments).
  5. Set Temperature: Press the TEMP/TIME button again. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired temperature (from 95°F to 167°F).
  6. Start Dehydration: After setting both time and temperature, the dehydrator will automatically begin the drying process after a few seconds. The fan will start, and the display will show the remaining time and current temperature.
  7. Monitor Progress: Periodically check the food through the transparent door. You may open the door briefly to inspect or rotate trays if necessary, though the rear-mounted fan minimizes this need.
  8. Completion: The dehydrator will automatically shut off once the set time has elapsed. An audible alert may sound.
  9. Cool Down: Allow the dehydrated food to cool completely before storing. Unplug the appliance after use.
