Gvirtue Universal Remote Control for Samsung TVs

Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the Gvirtue Universal Remote Control, designed for use with a wide range of Samsung LED, LCD, QLED, HDTV, 3D, and Smart TV models. This remote serves as a replacement for many original Samsung remote controls, including the BN59-01259B model. It operates using infrared technology and does not require programming for most compatible Samsung TVs.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. To install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Pairing (If Necessary)

For most compatible Samsung TVs, this remote control operates immediately after battery installation without additional programming. If the remote does not respond to your TV, a simple pairing step may be required:

• Ensure your TV is powered on.
• Point the remote control towards the TV.
• Simultaneously press and hold the Back button (curved arrow) and the Play/Pause button (triangle with two vertical lines) for approximately 3 seconds.
• Release the buttons. The remote should now be paired with your Samsung TV.

• 123 (Number Pad): Accesses the on-screen number pad for direct channel input or other numerical entries.
• EXTRA (Color buttons): Activates additional functions, often context-sensitive, indicated by colored prompts on the TV screen.
• Directional Pad (Up/Down/Left/Right): Navigates menus and selects items.
• Select (Center Button): Confirms selections or enters menus.
• Return (↶): Goes back to the previous screen or menu.
• Smart Hub (⌂): Opens the Samsung Smart Hub, providing access to apps, streaming services, and other smart features.
• Play/Pause (⏵⏸): Controls media playback (play, pause).
• VOL (Volume): Move the button up or down to adjust the volume. Press the button to mute the sound. Press and hold for 1 second or more to access Accessibility Shortcuts.
• CH (Channel): Move the button up or down to change the channel. Press the button to see the Guide screen.

Maintenance
