  3. Connect the Cable to Headphones: Insert the mini-XLR end of the chosen cable into the port on the left earcup of the headphones. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  4. Connect to Audio Source:
    • For devices with a 3.5mm audio jack, connect the 3.5mm end of the cable directly.
    • For devices requiring a 6.5mm (1/4") connection, attach the provided 3.5mm to 6.5mm adapter to the 3.5mm end of the cable, then plug into your audio source.
  5. Adjust Headband: Place the headphones on your head and adjust the headband for a comfortable and secure fit. The earcups should fully enclose your ears.

5. Operation

Once connected, the AKG K371 headphones are ready for use.

  • Volume Control: Adjust the audio volume directly from your connected audio source. The K371 headphones do not feature integrated volume controls.
  • Monitoring: For critical listening, mixing, or mastering, ensure your audio source is providing a neutral signal. The K371's accurate frequency response will reproduce the audio as intended.
  • Comfort for Long Sessions: The lightweight design and slow-retention foam ear pads are engineered for comfort during extended periods of use.

6. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and performance of your AKG K371 headphones.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the headphones. For ear pads, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the headphones in the provided carrying pouch to protect them from dust and scratches. The foldable design allows for compact storage.
  • Cable Care: Handle detachable cables with care. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling. Disconnect cables by gripping the connector, not the cable itself.
  • Avoid Moisture: While the headphones have some water resistance, avoid exposing them to excessive moisture or submerging them in liquids.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AKG K371 headphones, try the following steps:

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the audio cable is securely connected to both the headphones and the audio source.
