This diagram illustrates the three available connection methods: Bluetooth for wireless pairing with devices, USB for direct wired connection, and 2.4G wireless via a USB dongle.

2.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection (via Dongle)

  1. Insert the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer or device.
  2. Turn on the scanner. It should automatically connect to the dongle.
  3. A successful connection is indicated by a specific sound or LED light on the scanner.
  4. The transmission distance can reach 328ft in open environments and 114ft in environments with obstacles.

2.2.2 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your host device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
  2. Scan the "Bluetooth Pairing" barcode (refer to the physical manual for this barcode).
  3. On your host device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Tera HW0002" (or similar).

  2. The scanner will function as a standard USB HID keyboard device. No additional drivers are typically required.

3. Operation

  • Prefix/Suffix Addition: Add custom characters or data (like date and time) before or after scanned barcode data.
  • Upload Modes: Choose between Storage Mode (scans are stored internally and uploaded later) and Instant Upload Mode (scans are transmitted immediately).
  • Multi-Language Support: Configure the scanner for various keyboard layouts to ensure correct character output.
